Nope.
I've noticed that when people ask Limbaugh whether he's going to run for public office, he always hems and haws and pretty much blows them off. I think that's because he knows full well that he doesn't have the moral standing required to be a political leader in the conservative movement. Too much personal baggage.
Unlike, say, Newt Gingrich, Henry Hyde, Bob Livingston...
The man has made countless millions from being a political talk show host, and he's probably helped many conservative politicians to get elected. He presently holds perhaps the greatest conservative voice in America as well as enourmous power to go with it. For Rush to lower himself and become a politician it would actually weaken the Conservative agenda, (and considerably lighten his wallet).
Rush doesn't hem and haw at all about running for office.
He always says he doesn't want to take the pay cut, plus he's too strong in his opinions and doesn't want to have to be tactful.
I've known for a couple of months that he has someone. You can tell it in a man's voice when he's in the early stages of whoopee.
I wish him well. I doubt very much if this started before Marta left him because he sounded very down and subdued for several months.
He's not a candidate for office or the priesthood and as long as it's tasteful, give him a break.
