Calif. Delegates gave disruptors their passes?? [vanity]

I just heard Lee and Mel on KSFO state that two California delegates were the ones who allowed the Code Pink protestors who attempted to disrupt the President's speech last night. Apparently the two protestors were seated with the California delegation.
One of the protestors was Medea Benjamin, infamous leader of Code Pink. Lee and Mel just mentioned that perhaps former CA governor Pete Wilson was one of the delegates who gave his convention pass to the protestors.
I've been searching FR for any articles about the disruption last night, but have found nothing.

If this has been posted here, I'd be happy if someone can point me to it. Not having any luck with the search function.

The infiltrators really weren't effective anyway. The incident did put a little grin on the President's face though.

The NY Times found it fitting to put a picture of it on page A1. Above the fold.

There is no way that someone as flamboyant and well-known to the media as Medea Benjamin could have snuck in to the RNC without inside help.
I smell a rat.

I think it was a maseterful stroke, letting the vastly unpleasant Ms. Benjamin into the fray....
No way in hell they didn't recognize her.

Heres something to consider.
It could have been planned as a means of showing that we have enemies within this country without calling them enemies.

A. Pete Wilson is NO FOOL. Incredibly knowledgeable and competent politician. IME, of course.
B. If, as rumor has it, he did give his "pass" to said protestors, I can only laugh even harder! These protestors, are doing such a FANTASTIC job showing how sane and responsible Republicans are, as opposed to Democrats.
Republicans set out to have a convention. And, the protestors in the streets have done amply well in bringing a lot of attention TO THE CONVENTION. These are the clowns and acrobats in the streets, inviting one and all to come partake of the Big Party Under and Inside the BIG TENT! YESSSSSS!

I thought the same thing. But that's what they said. I wish I could find an article or thread about it. I'm operating here on pure hearsay.

I heard that too. Really really dumb. It was fortunate that these people that got in were just disruptors. What if they were dangerous people bent on some real damage? Just appalling.

The protesting itself doesn't bother me so much--but if a protester can sneak in, how easy would it be for someone more dangerous?
