I live the Ohio equivalent of "Peoria," S. Dayton. I realize most people are NOT political, and many actually resent the fact that they have to actually do a little research or pay attention to the elecion. (One Dallas Cowboy BB I visit had a guy crabbing that the convention was pre-empting the Cowboys PRESEASON game. Ugh.)

But while the theme of this speech was remarkable, as a speech, it fell flat.

That's a little closer to "vacuous pit" than "Peoria," isn't it?
