I don't know if all this is really in the Koran. I suppose someday I might read it if I become really bored and can't sleep. If it is and I were an Imam and otherwise literate, it would embarrass me enough to white it out in all my copies of the Koran. Then I might try to highlight other passages. There must be some passages on torturing infidels or some such that could use a little more attention.

You ever run the numbers regarding the so called numbers of American women beaten? 6 million a year....60 million in 10 years...then 120 million in 20 years. Another words in the past 20 years 1/3 to 1/2 of our population...practically all women and girls have been beaten by their husbands or boy friends....!

Even accounting for repeat "victims", the numbers seem awefully skewed...don't ya think?

Allah is the name a false prophet has for God. I don't know what the name means in Arabic. God's name mean "I am", which may be translated into other languages, I assume.

Just because the prophet is false and has written Satanic verses doesn't mean God wouldn't hear his children if they in good faith called Him by that name.

It's way more twisted than that. There is an official procedure. A few months ago I was following a link on here to an Arab station to read a transcript. Couldn't find that one, but did find one on how to Beat Your Wife. Interview with an Imam. They even discussed the Imam in Spain who was jailed for writing a book on wife beating.

Goes something like this.

1. If the wife is disobedient, talk to her.

2. If talking doesn't work, bring in 2 male relatives (1 wife's, 1 husband's) to reason with her and make her understand her disobedience.

3. Withold husbandly affections...... Put her out of the marriage bed to punish her even more.

4. Beat wife. Beating is not allowed on face, breast or abdomen area. Do not beat in anger.

An aside- In Egypt the man will only be prosecuted if the wife is hospitalized from a beating more than 3 weeks. Otherwise it's just a disagreement.

It is a FACT that a LOT of women need to be beaten to the bathroom! Otherwise, you might be in for a long wait!
