The second blast blew me off John's swift boat, PCF-94, throwing me into the river.
I thought he was thrown off Kerry's boat when Kerry hit full throttle to run away from a battle?

There were a lot of other people that would have saved your life if Kerry would not have come back. Admit it man, you are on his payroll.

No Kerry hit one of those mines that do absolutely no damage to your water craft. You know the neutron mine.

Give me a break, Rassmann. Being a "war hero" doesn't mean one gets a lifelong pass for their traitorous conduct.
Remember: Benedict Arnold was a "war hero," too.

Swift Boat Veterans for Bush should hang their heads in shame. No, hang your head in shame, Mr. Rassmann for if you can't even get the name of your opposition right, can you expect anyone to believe anything more from you?

Yawn.
John was such a hero that prisoners of war were treated to accounts of his actions by 'Hanoi Hilton' guards. Can't you just picture 'Hanoi Hilton' guards recounting the heroic actions of a United States' war hero to comfort prisoners of war?
Kerry is a sad charicature of a human being.

Why didn't he just title this "Hey, Get That Spotlight Back Over Here!"
This guy sounds like he slipped in a bathtub and is claiming he was on the Titanic.
To: Andy from Beaverton
But this time their attacks are more vicious, their lies cut deep and are directed not just at John Kerry, but at me and each of his crewmates as well.You'd think Rassmann might understand that Kerry's lies in front of the Senate and elsewhere cut more deeply and were directed at far more people. He's becoming nothing but a sniveling idiot to me.

A Vietnamese fisherman said he picked up a "Jim" Rassman last week and this week he picked up a "James" Rassman. The fisherman said both Rassmans are staying in his thatch hut on the canal waiting for John kerry and Douglas Brinkley to finally get their bloody stories straight, knock it off, come and pick one, or both of the Rassmans, for they are getting freaken tired of floating up and down that damned canal.

Excellent point.
I can not figure out what is up with this Rassmann guy. Two hundred and sixty swift officers and men also served in Viet Nam at this time and they are putting their reputations, careers and potentially their financial resources at risk. Why would they all be telling lies Rassmann? I am beginning to think Mr. Rassmann may have been "influenced." A Heinz-Kerry associate may have passed along some influence.
To: Andy from Beaverton
Assuming for the sake of argument that what Rassmann says is true,
- Kerry was NEVER in Cambodia, though he claimed to have been;
- Kerry has knowingly and repeatedly touted his inflated war medals, without correcting the record;
- Kerry libelled his combat brethren for his own political gain; and
- Kerry may have conducted secret meetings with VC leaders in Paris.

No, you commie POS (Rassman). Kerry
should STILL be in prison for treason (giving aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war.)
It is the limp-wristed appeasers like this, and their willing accomplices in the media, that are the ultimate threat to this Nation.

Kerry must have seen me in the water and directed his driver, Del Sandusky, to turn the boat around. I thought Kerry was returning becsuse he got a message to pick up VC, his doggie.

"I had to speak out; I had to tell the American people about John Kerry, about his wisdom and courage, about his vision and leadership." If you'll pardon me, this sounds like a worn-out commercial. I wonder if he wrote this article or just signed off on it? How in the world would he know anything about Kerry's 'vision,' whatever the word is supposed to mean?
His eyesight? His clairvoyance? How Kerry was obsessed with his vision of becoming president someday?
Sorry, Mr. Rassman. If you are (were) a republican, you could not possibly be serious in commending Kerry for his 'vision' for America -- or his political goals.
