No one legitimately "here" could do that. Sadly, however, "we" are not the electorate in Chicago.
For one, Obama is capable of forming a complete sentence without foaming at the mouth, unlike the Joker Keyes. Also, Obama doesnt do the same thing over and over while expecting a different result.
I would be more likely to believe Keyes was the Anti-Christ than that he could ever be elected to any national office. Heck, I doubt he could be elected dog catcher in his hometown unless someone pointed out that Keyes would then have to clean the dog cages.
When you speak of "useful idiots" you do mean Keyes, right?
What comment? The selfish hedonist comment? Do you expect him to forfeit his beliefs? He was asked a general question, and then the questioner applied it specifically. It amazes me how social stigma works. Everyone gets all up in arms because someone speaks negatively about homosexuality now. You know, it wasn't that long ago that it was the other way around. No one is more tolerant. Right and wrong have just turned upside down.
No, I don't think he is. For someone who talks down on Keyes, you certainly don't seem to know him very well.

I just hope Keyes can stay on message and not let himself get embroiled in conversations that hurts the conservative movement.
Talk-show host Keyes' could say certain things that 'candidate Keyes' should not.
Now he may go over better in another state that's used to that style of politicing, but in Illinois? No way.

Go and ahead and correct my spelling, it doesnt change Keyes mental status. At the least the guy is a fool. I dont know who was dumber, him for running or the Illinois Republicans for being so desperate. Im glad that IL is already a lost cause as far as the Presidential election. I would hate to think that Bush would lose those electoral votes due to Keyes bumbling.

Because Keyes went off the deep end. When he first joined the race I heard him in a radio interview. But with his recent behavoir I don't think I want him representing me. I just won't cast a vote in that race.

Alan Keyes has earned himself some well-deserved criticism, but that doesn't necessarily translate into Obama being a better choice in this election. However, a very real problem with Keyes is that if he gets elected, and thus has a prominent platform from which to continue some of his more bizarre ramblings, then 6 years from now, it'll be whole lot easier for someone like Obama to get elected, even if opposed by a more rational and tactful conservative than Keyes.
There's invariably a backlash against the sort of stuff he's gotten hammered for, and in his case, from both ends of the political spectrum: the right is alarmed by his reparations talk, and the left, along with much of the middle and right, is alarmed by his recent rudely and poorly articulated attack on gays in general and on Mary Cheney in particular. I don't think he'd be real tight with the White House for the next 4 years (assuming Bush/Cheney are there), and that would be a serious handicap for a Republican Senator.
So one could reasonably argue that, since Keyes is a less-than-optimal candidate, and would be handicapped while in office, it might be better in the long run to have the distasteful Obama elected, as it would increase the chances of a better Republican candidate than Keyes taking the seat 6 years down the road and keeping it for a good long time.
Since I'm not in Illinois, I'm happy to say that I'm not faced with actually having to make a choice here.
