Just went to the CBS website to find contact info for 60 Minutes; I wanted to complain about not covering the Swifties but they are going to cover Barns.
Anyway, the site has the American Flag in backwards, as the symbol of their coverage of the RNC.
Maybe someone with more talent than me, can post a picture of what I am talking about.

In the top middle of the page...(sorry, I didn't realize this at first) look at "Tonight on CBS" then place your mouse over the "10:00 PM Republican National Convention"..the picture will change to a backwards American Flag.

So if I am facing north and the wind is out of the east, the flag flying is backwards? I think you are seeing a slight where there is no malicious intent.
For example, by your reasoning, the flag patch worn on the right sleeve by U.S. troops deployed overseas would indicate that the troops are a disgrace.

The stars are on the pole side of the flag. That might be on the left or the right, depending on which way the wind is blowing...

No...I understand your points and agree. Those are valid reasons...but most Americans don't associate the Flag the way CBS displayed it on their website. As far as I am concerned, when you use the flag to associate the RNC or the DNC for that matter, display it properly...NOT BACKWARDS.
