definetely true - retiree medical should be a totally portable system, like a 401K, funded in a similar manner by both the corporation and the worker. people just aren't able to hold corporate jobs long enough to qualify, alot of people I know have lost their jobs just a couple of years short of qualifying. once that happens, your cooked, you don't have enough years to work someplace else to re-qualify.
