E.D. Hill is a Moderate Democrat

Posted on 09/02/2004 5:32:19 AM PDT by pctech

I apologize if this has been discussed before.

I was watching Fox News this morning and heard E.D. Hill refer to herself as a moderate democrat. While I have no personal "beef" with her, I wonder why in the world would Fox News put a moderate democrat (besides Alan Combs) on the air on a consistent basis. There have been numerous times where I wondered where she was at politically because of some off-handed comments she's made. Now I know. Did anyone else pick up on this?

Generally, I don't care for E.D. Hill. I prefer Juliette or Kiran or Loren Greene. I like Brian, Steve, and the Judge a lot.

E.D. is trying to hard to be liked by the media establishment.

Anymore, she comes down on all sides of an issue.

She thinks it makes her seem non-partisan...it just makes her look like a groupie.

I certainly hope party affiliation isn't prerequisite for working at Fox News - otherwise, they're no better off than the MSM.

She's mentioned it a number of times.

"Fair and balanced".

Loren Green is my personal favorite. She has a more genuine smile than E.D. (and much better legs). When E.D. took maternity leave I didn't miss her one bit.

Zell Miller would probably describe himself in that fashion, and I wouldn't mind having him on.

Well stated.

FOX understands that "fair and balanced" means providing both sides of an issue. Knowing what liberals think is important if you are a conservative. The difference between FOX, the other cable channels and the MSM is that you always know where the people speaking stand in the political spectrum. Other media "journalists" try to portray themselves as objective, which is what really infuriates conservatives and moderates alike. That is why FOX is so successful.

ED's always been to the left at least slightly, and she's been part of the Fox and Friends since the beginning... She used to be a newscaster way back when here in Pittsburgh under the name ED Tarbauch (sp) and she made her way to NYC, which is where Fox recruited most if not all of the Fox and Friends from.

Groupie is a good word. She has a lot of dem qualities, i.e. she never has a standard and always seems to dance around the issues.

FoxNews is not a Republican network. It is not a conservative network. It is a "fair and balanced" network. I agree that we need a conservative network to balance out the 4 liberal networks. But FoxNews ain't it.

I see E.D. more as a Zell Miller Democrat... sort of a Zell-O-Crat. She's very strong on National Security.

And she does have nice legs!

I pretty much saw through her a long time ago. Not necessarily that being a dem is bad (hahaha) but she is so wishy -washy trying to be the popular and fair one that she drives me up the wall. She also name drops, brags, and has a superior air- which to me are liberal traits.

I didn't her her say she was a democrat, but hearing some of the other things she said, I was wondering out loud what was up with her. Remember, Paula Zahn used to be on Fox. She started sounding more and more liberal until she finally jumped ship.
