" 2. In '92 when running against Clinton in the primaries, he said, "Something most people don't realize is that he's a remarkably good liar." Now, after his distinguished Senate career, it all comes down to saying "F*** You" to the Swifties. What a proud record."

I had forgotten about his remark about clinton's lies and spin. Good talking point. Do you know where we can find the official record of it? If I recall correctly, Kerrey supported clinton once he lost the nomination. Another flip-flop KerrEy? Wonder if the SBVT's could use it in this unwarranted attack?

If you google Bob Kerrey Clinton remarkably good liar, you'll see some listings, mostly quoting Esquire. #6 in the list is from a previous time I quoted this here at FR. During that campaign, it was a one-day news story for the networks. At the time he said it, his campaign which had been expected to do quite well was going nowhere because he couldn't give a decent speech anywhere. That and some bad ideas like national health care which helped Clinton get elected after he stole them from Kerrey.

Bob Kerrey is the other war-hero Dim who thought he deserved to be president. But he dated Deb Winger instead of marrying the Heinz fortune.
