"Last week we told the Republican Party that you cannot sugarcoat the vicious and mean- spirited [GOP] platform, and today we want CNN to know that you cannot sugarcoat the politics of fear and intolerance that lead to hate," said Log Cabin Executive Director Patrick Guerriero. This is why I say they're nothing but Infiltrators. They walk like Leftists, talk like Leftists, smell like Leftists....

Can CNN legally do that? They don't own the airwaves, and if the ad is in good taste, and accurate, on what basis can CNN hold the ad?

The Log Cabin Republicans say they support "fairness, freedom, and equality for gay and lesbian Americans." The group says it also supports Republican Party positions on lower taxes, a strong national defense, personal responsibility and a commitment to individual liberty. While I support lower taxes, a strong national defense, personal responsibility and a commitment to individual liberty...

Interesting. I read a thread this morning about a liberal media watchdog which was taking Fox to task for not running an ad from The Nation. The NYT was quite upset about this seeming lack of balance. I wonder if the NYT will cover this as well? :)

In fairness, CNN is a cable channel, and they aren't subject to the same rules and regulations of free TV, AFAIK. Furthermore, CNN is a private corporation and should'nt be forced to accept ads any more than FNC should be forced to accept ads. :)

The amount of anti free speech moves by the liberal-ACLU types has really become noticeable.

The Log Cabin Republicans say they support "fairness, freedom, and equality for gay and lesbian Americans." The group says it also supports Republican Party positions on lower taxes, a strong national defense, personal responsibility and a commitment to individual liberty. They already have fairness, freedom and equality as American citizens. Oh, I see, they want something beyond that.

But we are united! We're united in opposing "homosexual marriage" and special-rights for homosexuals!

Anybody else ready to join the Constitution Party? So the CP vote percentage will increase from .00001% to .0001%?
Get real. Nobody in the GOP other than scumbags such as Specter supports the LCR. The LCR is nothing but a liberal group trying to water down the GOP, hoping that conservative voters get discouraged and stay home. These people and other homosexuals are not going to vote Republican anyway.
To: FormerLib
Same sex "marriage" has nothing to do with freedom. Anyone can live together with whomever they want. It is all about getting the government to affirm and celebrate homosexual activity as something of moral worth. As people have differing views on the morality of homosexual activity (and have a right to hold differing views), getting the government to impose the liberal view on the morality of homosexual activity through civil gay "marriage" is what is truly divisive.

Funny you would make that statement. Consider the Speakers at the RNC this week so far and if they support the Back Door Boys.
John McMe- yes
Rudy- Yes
(r)nold-Yes
Looks like your wrong. The Supposed "Rising Stars" All want the support of gays and are destroying the party from within.
Ask yourself this, how many times being this is day 3 of the Convention has the party platform been mentioned?
There's a reason for it.
