I think Fox reported him as being 20, which I tend to believe more.

I believe he can be tried as an adult, providing it's not a liberal judge who makes the decision. This little criminal, needs to go down for the count. The charge should be attempted murder, the punk had 1. the ability, 2. the opportunity and 3. he placed the officer's life in jeopardy. I hope justice will prevail in this matter. Bush/Cheney 2004
