the people on this thread are already voting for Bush.
there is a difference between an opinion and an observation. I personally think Miller is speaking the truth, but that is my opinion. It differs from my observation that I think his delivery of the message is over the top - especially amongst people who are not as plugged into politics as we are here.
Cheney is getting zero coverage now. Zero.
Swing voters in Ohio loved Miller's speech in Luntz's focus group.
His speech was so damn powerful, I still feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins and so do these fence sitting yahoos.
I had literally a dozen calls with folks who while admittedly not as partisan as you or I are still Pubs and some were moved to tears by Zell's speech.
I simply have no idea what type of pragmatic mindful strategy you and a few others are wistful for here.
We have the enemy on the run and we need to chase them down and crush them between now and election day and I don't see how Miller's speech did anything but help that.
Now, if you lack cable or can only get CNN then you may be getting a jaded perspective.
I thought Miller gave one of the best speeches I've seen in my 46 years.
Haven't you noticed that the angriest speakers (Ron Silver and Zell Miller) are both Democrats? That's to connect with other angry Democrats, to confirm that their anger is righteous.
Meanwhile, the Republicans can stay on a more upbeat tone, which prevents the MSM from jumping all over them.
The Democrats are taking the bullets for us from other Democrats!
