I had literally a dozen calls with folks who while admittedly not as partisan as you or I are still Pubs and some were moved to tears by Zell's speech.

I simply have no idea what type of pragmatic mindful strategy you and a few others are wistful for here.

We have the enemy on the run and we need to chase them down and crush them between now and election day and I don't see how Miller's speech did anything but help that.

Now, if you lack cable or can only get CNN then you may be getting a jaded perspective.

I thought Miller gave one of the best speeches I've seen in my 46 years.

McCain, Rudy, Arnold & Laura all gave very good speeches - with positive media coverage. you are asking me what kind of strategy I am in favor of? there are 4 examples right there.

well, the good news is that Bush will do well tomorrow. He has a natural grace about him, and his tone will be different.

Zell was magnificent and the two people,from N.Y.C.,who don't like it,are too young to understand that politics used to be like this,that strong men use strong speech.

They should go back and read earlier political speeches. :-)
