Perhaps Kerrey also resents Kerry's 1971 testimony? Could he be supporting his party's nominee through somewhat clenched teeth?

Very interesting thought. Could well be. Can there be any doubt that Bob Kerrey thinks he's a better man than John Kerry?

Most men believe they are better than John Kerry. They are absolutely correct.

Can there be any doubt that Bob Kerrey thinks he's a better man than John Kerry? Bob may be a bit of a wanker and partisan, but the man comes across as believing what he says even though he may need mint flavored shoes often. Clenched teeth may be an accurate description of Bob. He likes to say what he thinks and must be biting his tongue really hard over Kerry.

I personally believe that Bob Kerrey was "taken out" by Bill and Hillary Clinton.

First, Kerrey was quoted in 1995 or 1996 as saying "Bill Clinton is an extraordinarily good liar" (Esquire Mag, I believe).

Second, in reviewing the political landscape for obstacles to a Hillary nomination in 2008, Bob Kerrey was clearly one of the strongest possibilities.

The "war crimes" stuff was the perfect combination of revenge and elimination.
