Cause I'd like to have power for a few days for things like the fridge, freezer, a fan in 90 degree weather....small things like that...

What do you need a generator for? My elderly parents were without power for seven - that's SEVEN - days in Polk County (central Florida) following Charley. Yes, they could not refrigerate food or run their A/C in the 90 degree weather. Life was NOT fun at all for those seven days!
