(Democrat) Protester gets within 10 feet of Cheney

Well, she ought to be grateful she got in, and hopefully she doesn't think Republicans are stupid for letting her in. She protested the dems in Boston, and didn't get near the convention.

Another thought here because of the left wing media anti Cheney hype I think we maybe reading too much in how he has looked recently. Is the sad look because this is his last campaign he knows this is the end he hopes and expects another 4 years but after that it is the end of his political career. Are what we are seeing just a case of being a bit wistful. There maybe part of him that wants to run in 2008 but knows this is not his forte he is the a great back-room boy. He obviously has a great life away from politics but it has been his life and even in the brief break from it he was young enough to always know if he wanted to come back he could. Now especially if Bush/Cheney don't win it ends at the end of the year. An occasional sad look is understandable.

Maybe he just doesn't like having to be out all the time since he seems to like the background better.
