Milosevic Opens Long-Delayed Defense, Alleges U.S.-Islam Plot

The Associated Press THE HAGUE -- Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic opened his long-delayed defense at the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal Tuesday, describing the battles of his Serbian people as self-defense against internal rebellions and external attacks by Islamic warriors.
Milosevic, charged with genocide and crimes against humanity in the Balkans, portrayed the Serbs as victims rather than aggressors: victims of a plan supported by the United States and Europe to break up Yugoslavia, of an attempt to wipe out Croatia's Serb minority, and of a Saudi-financed plot to create an Islamic state in Bosnia.
Milosevic's statement, launching the second half of what is seen as the most important war crimes trial since World War II, began with a complaint to the judges that he was allotted only four hours to make his opening argument, while prosecutors were given three days to outline their case when the trial began in February 2002.
But presiding judge Patrick Robinson ordered Milosevic to proceed, saying the defense's case had repeatedly been delayed by his frail health.
Originally set for April, it was postponed five times when doctors determined that Milosevic's blood pressure was dangerously high.
In Tuesday's statement, Milosevic compared events in Croatia at the start of the Balkan wars in 1991 to the "genocide of Serbs by Croatian fascists in 1941." He said tens of thousands of Serbs were killed or driven from their homes in Croatia before the Yugoslav army responded.
"This is a classic example of an armed rebellion against a state," he said. "A state has the right to use all means necessary to control the rebellion." Later, Milosevic said, mujahedin fighters flooded into Muslim-dominated Bosnia from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Morocco "to support the first Islamic state in Europe." The Afghans came with arms supplied by the CIA, Milosevic said.

Milosovic has already been determined to be guilty by this kangaroo court, this show of his defense is just a part of the faux trial.
if only hitler had been gassing muslims instead of jews, you guys would be right behind him.
just because there were connections between two large populations of muslims doesnt justify genocide.

He had seen it on TV and President Clinton said it happened. It depends on the definition of the word genocide.
Let me just sample the first picture. Photo of the bodies is not a proof of a crime by itself, neither is the commend appended to the photo. In the Racak area there was a fight between government forces and Albanian separatist. It was normal that many of the later died. Racak was staged as a pretext for the NATO war against Serbia while the report by the international medical examiners was deliberately postponed.

you might be able to convince me that the 'ethnic albanian' side wasnt all peachy and nice. no problem... but that doesnt mean the other side was framed. we didnt go into iraq and start lining up people to shoot them. the serbians responded to their problem by massacring indiscrimanately and inhumanly. you might as well defend palestine with your logic that can defend the serbs for what they did.
Yeah, right! Hitler and his henchmen--Haj Amin Al-Husseini's islamist minions and the ustashe--also killed a million Serbs! The contemporary followers of these Nazis have still been killing Serbs, as well as Israelis, Lebanese Christians, and 3,000 Americans on September 11th!!!!
I hope you're proud of yourself, sweneop, spreading their lies, and posting pictures sponsored not only by the KLA savages, but by their big backer George Soros (who runs "Human Rightser" Watch). Now Soros is infiltrating our own political system, by funding "MoveOn.org" and other "defeat George Bush" organizations.
That was quite a "demonstration" that Soros bought and paid for in New York last Sunday. It reminds me a lot of the "demonstrations" that he organized in Serbia to overthrow the government. You better pray along with the rest of us that Soros' attempt to do in America what he did in the Balkans doesn't succeed. And getting a new attitude towards the Serbs wouldn't hurt, either.

Soros is buying one of our political parties!!! (It would have been the Republicans if they were in as bad a shape as the Democrats are now). And he has a track record of underhanded political operations. Go figure!
im not saying the victims in this case were angels, but i find it just plain wrong to defend what the serbs did. like i said in another post, we didnt start lining iraqis up against the wall, or the worldwide attacks on the war and its prosecution mkight have had some justification.

The issue here - read it again - is that Clinton using imported al-Qaeda/Islamist terrorists helped the Bosnian and Albanian Muslims fight the Serbs. That is the issue - that is the charge.
In Iraq we did not rely on imported armies of jihadists to defeat Saddam.
Wake the hell up or learn to think more analytically there is a war on.
