This is the thread for Day Two of the RNC Convention.
LOL!..
Stop trying to mess with people's heads.
(R)nold was great!
I have been scanning the press stories coming out. I tried to guess what spin they would put on his speech, I couldn't think of anything... Now I see they are going to mention his groping and his difference of social views. One story I read mentioned the stupid Hitler allegation that Davis's hit squad spun up.... ridiculous. No one mentions Austria and socialism - which was his best point I thought...
Do you understand that Julianne Malveaux's last name means 'bad veal'?
You're not a serious FR member paulat, you're more like an insouciant board troll
"I say it is a tribute to us winning the Cold War (maybe even a tribute to Reagan)."
That was how I took it.
In the same way, during the PATCO labor "unrest" Reagan sat silent at a Cabinet meeting with all the usual suspects predicting the gloom and doom related to every concerted action. Reagan said nothing for 25 minutes but read the Deaver summary of positions ... got up without a word, walked out the door ... and fired all those idiots. Walked back in and said ... "Where were we? No, not the PATCO thing, that's done. What else?"
God bless Ronnie. President Reagan. Bush is close to that kind of stuff. Some flunky thought he needed to intrude on the President's time to inform him that loose cannon Rumsfeld just labeled our adversaries in the War on Terror (France, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, etc.) "Old Europe". He informed Bush that the leaders in Bonn, Stockholm, Brussels and Paris were apoplectic. Bush looked up and said "Good". Went back to his duties.
We're in good hands.
Here it is:

94 pages long!
They say we are all a bunch of holy rolling right wing extremists in one breath and slam the "big tent" in another, sigh..MSM will not stop the biased reporting...Kerry is taking hits and they cannot deny that!
Thanks for the input :) !
Even if the person lost a child it had nothing to do with the topic at hand. I'm not a big fan of sympathy whores.
I haven't missed a single election,for anything,since I got the vote and neither has my daughter;but, this isn't the norm...unfortunately.
Oh Oh. ;^)
Arnold's speech was incredible... like Giuliani, he knocked it outta the park and then some! We were watching the speeches with total focus tonight, rather than running back and forth between computer/tv rooms (as usual for me).
I thought reelecting President Bush was the focus?
Good convention... can't wait to hear how democrats dropped dead. Ooops I remembered I'm supposed to be a non-name calling compassionate conservative.
LOL... great to hear! Earlier tonight, we called and e-mailed my stepson in CA, encouraging him to watch them and his governator's speech (the e-mail included several pics of the pretty twins). Hope he tuned in... ;-)
Come with me, if you want to live!
Our main speakers and even some of the not so prime-time ones (Steele was just incredible!)beat their's by a miles.
DNC vs. RNC Speaker Scorecard...
Shrillary vs. McCain...The Moore slap cinched it!
Slick vs. Rudy.........Rudy by TKO
Obama vs. Arnold.......Governator ended it early by KO
TeRAYza vs. Laura......Are you kidding me?
And we're just getting to the meat of the line-up!
