TERRY MCAULIFFE, UPSET ABOUT DELEGATE BAND-AIDS [08/30 10:00 PM]
From the DNC:
Upon hearing of multiple news reports that GOP delegates are belittling the injuries soldiers sustained during service by wearing band-aids with purple hearts, DNC Chair Terry McAuliffe issued the following statement:
"It is inexcusable for a Republican delegate to mock anyone who has ever put on a soldier's uniform. It is inexcusable to mock service and sacrifice. Our service men and women put their lives on the line every day. If they are wounded in the line of duty it is because they are fighting on the frontlines for freedom. Anything but complete respect for their service is unacceptable.
"Mindful of the fact that over 3700 purple hearts have been issued during the Iraq war so far and none of us know how high that number will climb, I call on John McCain and Rudy Giuliani, before they speak, to tell their delegates to disavow these tactics. I call on these two men to use the power of their positions to tell their delegates that service matters, sacrifice matters, and that no Republican delegate should ever mock the service of our soldiers."
I see absolutely no benefit to Kerry or the Democrats from this particular rapid reaction statement. Everyone with functioning brain cells can tell that these band-aids are meant to mock Kerry, not "belittling the injuries soldiers sustained during service."
Hey, Terry, if it's "inexcusable to mock anyone who has ever put on a soldier's uniform", would that include the Swift Boat Vets, too?
I am from Syracuse NY----where Terry is from---and let me say that I am ASHAMED of this man! I am not making his up---people on the lakes HATE you too Terry.
By the Way--Terry is a chicken----he never was in the US military-----yet he is critical of others.
Hey, McAwful! Let's get one thing straight and perfectly clear. Nobody is mocking the thousands of Americans who served honorably and were wounded or worse in that service.
They are mocking JOHN KERRY.
Clear enough? ;)
I remember during campaign 2000 when Bush said something disparaging about Gore's handling of military issues while in office, Gore put on his funny hat and appeared at a Legion gathering going on about how Bush had insulted veterans...
MaCauliffe screaming over the band-aid issue only draws attention to the joke and makes him look both humourless and stupid. Remember, the gravest sin in this enlightened age of ours is to appear "uncool."
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Iddle diddle widdums has'm boo-boo, duzzy wuzzy...?
> ... no Republican delegate should ever mock the service of our soldiers ...
Unless that service itself was a mockery.
I'm willing to give Kerry the benefit of the doubt if
he, in turn, will sign the SF 180 and clear all this up.
Terry, you demanded all of Bush's records.
air enough. We'll mock YOU, instead, you water-bearer pansy!
what if his records have been "sanitized"? that silver star citation that was altered, reissued, and allegedly signed by lehman didn't get there by accident. if kerry has been planning on running for president for 40 years, he has probably been cleaning up his military jacket behind the scenes for years.
good, but what about "you jock sniffing bench warmer!"
I guess there will be a legless, one armed guy in a wheel chair wearing a bandaide outside the convention tomorrow with a letter for the President.
two letters. one saying "bring it on", and the other squealing "take it back!!"
> ... what if his records have been "sanitized"?
Then he'd have released them by now.
Kerry may "release all" in his possession (without
signing the 180), and these could well be forgeries.
But my guess is that after Berger's test missions,
Kerry discovered he couldn't get to the originals.
Even the preening he's been doing has only created
NEW documents, and not deleted originals.
We'll see no SF 180 signing until 5 PM PST on 02 Nov.,
if at all.
No need to worry that anyone will be tricked into voting for a Democrat anymore. Their old resident sophist must have kicked the bucket.
That's all right. I've already arranged for the perfect person to meet him at the door, if he does happen to show up:
:)
Thats funny where can I get some?
McA: "Anything but complete respect for their service is unacceptable."
I guess he's forgotten about all that's he's had said
about G.W.Bush piloting flying coffins in the air guard.
Whine Alert!
This sycophant Clintonista is always trying to hide the guilt of his party and try to deflect the blame on Republicans for something he and the Demonrats are always doing!
"Snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings!"
