Don't let those pesky facts get in the way of your insupportable claims that "Bush lied," [etc...] Here's a useful definition

"Late last week, the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) briefed the Security Council on Saddam's lightning-fast dismantling of missile and WMD sites before and during the war"
My question is why the UN has not notified all leaders of every nation belonging to the UN of this?

If I remember correctly, the stuff in Holland ended up at a scrap dealer.

"Using [the story of the Jordanean interception of 20 tons of chemical agents] as proof of 'Chemical Weapons'...is a very-serious line of BS. TNT is a chemical, Urea is a chemical, everything is a chemical under this definition. That doesn't fly."
I'm sorry you are so ignorant, but many routinely used industrial chemicals are obscenely toxic, and can easily be used as weapons, making them Chemical Weapons, if so used. Ammonia fumes, which can be released from Urea for example, are as toxic (i.e. dangerous and deadly in concentrations of parts per million) as any of the nerve agents developed for use prior to WWII. Don't believe me? Just try mixing the various household cleaners in ways which the warning labels on the back of the packages tell you NOT to do. Only, if you are so foolish as to try it, please do so in a room sealed off from the rest of us.

Seems to me it's frequently in the best interest of a sensitive operation to keep the details close to one's chest. Announcing this information would serve no good purpose at this time, other than to give the present administration an 'I told you so!' moment. The attention span of the average American voter is short, very short. I would hope that they know a lot they are not telling us right now, and that when they have all their ducks in a row they will lay out the information in such a way as to make it difficult to refute. Remember, in his first major speech about the WOT President Bush said there would be a lot going on, and that we know about some of it but most of it would be done without fanfare. Something they are doing is working, we've had no more attacks on our soil (that we know of) and the number of terrorists captured or killed around the world is in the hundreds. Hopefully sometime nearer the election we will be given an accounting of just how we've managed to prevent further attacks. Maybe I'm just a bit too Pollyanna-ish, but I view the lack of attacks as evidence something is being done. I am NOT a patient person, and believe me it's killing me not knowing what's going on!

Amen! Just imagine if we ran our criminal justice and law enforcement systems this way. You be notified six months ahead of time that a search warrant was going to be executed at your house/business. And then you would be reminded every day or two that the search was coming. How much contraband do you suppose they would find when the searched your house?

The problem is, it wasn't just TNT or urea or urine or whatever you want to claim Al Qaeda terrorists brought into Jordan. They were chemical nerve agents that the Jordanians seized and the Jordanians continue to maintain that. Not exactly 4th of July sparklers there bud.

I remember watching a news conference from Amman where Jordanian officials refuted the "nerve agent" story, several days and not more than a week after the story broke. So until I can respond with some solid info, I'll have to let it stand.

Yes, you were both correct. I read a story on the Saturday April 17th after the arrests went public without details, by Sunday night the 18th the story was fully public, including a confession by those arrested on the use of sulfuric acid amongst other agents to be used in the attack. I missed the story completely.

It would definitely blow the wind out of the dems sails, and the elections are getting close. Possibly the information - if true - isnt being released because the MSM would demand solid physical evidence in the form of the actual munitions - and even that wouldnt be enough for some. Photos and statements would be seen as just political posturing.
I view the lack of attacks as evidence something is being done.
Al Quida has been forced to use messengers instead of telephones and internet. Now they may even be switching from computers to
??? Human memory??? Law enforcement and the intelligence community by just being more aware of the threat is more effective. Much is being done.

Send some emails to Hannity to cover this next week. MSM have just buried the story.
