Liberal Meltdown in America: Flip-Offs, Road Rage & Violence by Kerry-ites (Your Experiences?)
AmericanInTokyo ^ | 29 August 2004 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 08/30/2004 2:36:53 PM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

There appears to have been a major shift in the last month in the U.S. presidential campaign from KERRY-IN-THE-LEAD to BUSH-IN-THE-LEAD.

And this, before the GOP Convention has really gotten underway.

It seems that Kerry supporters and Bush haters are becoming increasingly strident, stressed, psycopathic and perhaps even violent in some cases. Have you personally noticed this in your town and community?

.....Because of TeRAYyza's very public meltdown, the SwiftBoatVets, Unfit for Command's booming national sales, devastating Swiftee TV ads in battlegrounds states, and the Kerry slip in the polls?

Consider:

--A young Bush campaign supporter was sucker-punched yesterday at a Washington State political event by a Kerry supporter--right on national TV.

--Freepers report Kerry-ite "flip- offs" in traffic(middle finger salutes), increasingly desperate and irate liberal emotions, foul language, verbal abuse when they peacefully display pro-Swift Boat vet or anti-Kerry stickers on their cars.

--The national TV reporters and commentators who side with Kerry seem almost apoplectic on TV these days, babbling, whining, salivating and doing everything short of cursing or throwing ashtrays.

On this FR thread, kindly please related your own personal experience on cases of strange behavior by libs and Kerry supporters that you come across. It would help to know the "what", "when", "where" and "why", too. Perhaps there is a national sickness developing in over in the Hate Bush camp, as they see their lead evaporate and their chances of capturing the White House fade. They seem to have only have nasty, threatening and sometimes violent means to turn to now. Would you agree?

More importantly, remember that leftists are generous, but only with other peoples' money. When they have to donate themselves, they get stingy pretty quickly.

Here's a telling stat regarding this phenomenon:

In Massachusetts, the liberals expended an inordinate amount of sturm undt drang when we taxpayers voted, by referendum, to return our state income tax level from 5.85% to 5%. Now, this being Massachusetts, mind you, this roll-back is being done in stages, and now it's currently at 5.5%.

Now, if you're a big supporter of government programs for the needy, of government in general, etc., on your income tax form, you can check a little box that says, more or less, "Yes, I'm an especially good citizen, and I'll pony up at the old 5.85% tax rate so the needy won't starve, the teachers won't have to take poverty-level salaries, etc."

Every so often Howie Carr of the Boston Herald does a column in which he includes the percentage of Massachusetts tax payers who elect to pay at the higher rate. If I remember correctly, it's never, ever more than 1 or 2 percent.

I truly believe that the liberal mindset is a demonic one. We are in a spiritual warfare for the very life of this country. It's righteousness vs. unrighteousness and even though repubbies aren't perfect by any means, they don't seem to have that same mindset. They tend to stand for good values not the bad ones, like libs. Time to get on our knees.

You have my sympathies. I had to live with my in-laws for 12 years. It was a nightmare for all of us, including them!

And, may I shamelessly plug the new website for A CHILD'S EYE VIEW OF JOHN KERRY?

Doug: You just absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of any doubt must stop shamelessly plugging your book.

I haven't had recent experiences, but I definitely have experienced irrational anti-Bush sentiment up here:

1. When I admitted to an acquaintance that I was support George W. Bush & will vote for him via absentee ballot, this woman's jaw dropped, her eyes widened, and she looked at me like I had just fallen off a turnip truck, or perhaps like I was one of those characters in Deliverance. She didn't say a word, she just stared at me for a few moments until she recovered and nodded politely. Clearly, I had instantly gone from being her equal to an utter moron.

2. I had a letter to the editor published in which I expressed irritation with Canada's failure to help us in Iraq and with the Chretien government's refusal to repudiate comments made people in his goverment to the effect that GW Bush is a "moron," and that Americans are "arrogant bastards." It was a prominent letter and I had my picture taken with the American flag in the background.

Well, two days later I got a vicious hate-filled letter from a neighbor enclosing pages and pages of a photocopied book by Noam Chomsky and telling me, "you're so proud of your flag? Then go home! Get out of our beautiful country! Our children don't need the likes of you. Your country is evil," etc. etc. There was much, much more but I threw the letter away and can't remember it all. :)

In my experience, there are many people up here who agree with Carolyn Parrish's recent comments about refusing to join the U.S.'s "coalition of idiots." The subtle (and not so subtle) anti-Bush and anti-American comments are non-stop, on the radio, the t.v., and in the newspapers, and it has definitely heated up since Iraq.

It gets old after a while.

That's OK - I'll probably come across it as I wander around FR :-). In the meantime, the HTML for posting images is:

< img src = " " >

You can right-click on an image and see "properties". In the property box, there will be an HTML line. If you copy and paste that into the above command between the quote marks, then take out all spaces (beginning from the right of the far left carat) EXCEPT for the space between img and src, that is the HTML command. Try it sometime. We're very forgiving as a bunch here on FR.

I couldn't believe how angry my dear sister-in-law, who is usually very sweet, was when we started talking about how great Bush is. She screamed I HATE THAT MAN! Of course all she reads is the Post Standard (Sub-Standard, my hubby calls it)and they lean verrryyy far to the left. Needless to say, we stay off the subject when she's around. Sigh.

I live in a Central New York college town, full of liberals. So I don't put Bush stickers on the car, BUT I have the door to my office full of Bush pictures. Heh, heh. I'm so nice to the liberals here that they can't help but like me (smile). Mxxx

Good point Mark!

However, I figure once I empty sixteen 10MM rounds from my Glock 20 into a Bear, they will be too busy dying to worry about eating me.

You should carry a cap pistol and point it at the jerks. That would really cause yellow fever!

Much as your dear hubby would like to avoid them, he really needs to lay it on the line to them. Shut up or find a new place to live! HE is the head of the house and HE needs to deal with this problem. It will never be solved if he doesn't. I will pray for both of you to get this resolved.

You are in the midst of an intense spiritual warfare. Do you have friends from church who could pray with you about this? A little 'binding and loosing' prayer would help.

Regardless of how these old folks behave, the Bible tells us to HONOR our mother and father, even if they are vile creatures (my spin), so that things will go well with YOU. It's one of those tough scriptures we would like to avoid but... nobody said it was gonna be easy.

Have you personally noticed this in your town and community?

Yes. Last night I was working out at the gym and watching TV. Tom Brokaw and NBC came on and spilled out their normal nightly anti-Bush propaganda. Some pudgy woman said "Bush is an SOB" to which I said "Fu** you, not everyone hates Bush".

You might have said, "Bush is beloved by many. Including myself and my familiy!"

Salt her tail feathers.
