Liberal Meltdown in America: Flip-Offs, Road Rage & Violence by Kerry-ites (Your Experiences?)
AmericanInTokyo ^ | 29 August 2004 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 08/30/2004 2:36:53 PM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

There appears to have been a major shift in the last month in the U.S. presidential campaign from KERRY-IN-THE-LEAD to BUSH-IN-THE-LEAD.

And this, before the GOP Convention has really gotten underway.

It seems that Kerry supporters and Bush haters are becoming increasingly strident, stressed, psycopathic and perhaps even violent in some cases. Have you personally noticed this in your town and community?

.....Because of TeRAYyza's very public meltdown, the SwiftBoatVets, Unfit for Command's booming national sales, devastating Swiftee TV ads in battlegrounds states, and the Kerry slip in the polls?

Consider:

--A young Bush campaign supporter was sucker-punched yesterday at a Washington State political event by a Kerry supporter--right on national TV.

--Freepers report Kerry-ite "flip- offs" in traffic(middle finger salutes), increasingly desperate and irate liberal emotions, foul language, verbal abuse when they peacefully display pro-Swift Boat vet or anti-Kerry stickers on their cars.

--The national TV reporters and commentators who side with Kerry seem almost apoplectic on TV these days, babbling, whining, salivating and doing everything short of cursing or throwing ashtrays.

On this FR thread, kindly please related your own personal experience on cases of strange behavior by libs and Kerry supporters that you come across. It would help to know the "what", "when", "where" and "why", too. Perhaps there is a national sickness developing in over in the Hate Bush camp, as they see their lead evaporate and their chances of capturing the White House fade. They seem to have only have nasty, threatening and sometimes violent means to turn to now. Would you agree?

Buy magnetic laminated sheets,...and stick it to your car.

I tried to use this idea in my real estate business. They ten to oxidize and ruin the paint.

"But I figured the liberal pinheads I'd be targeting wouldn't get it, or worse - would say, "Like....YEAH, man."

I told some people one day that I had never had a bumper sticker on my car but I was considering buying one that said only "BUMPER STICKER". I never saw such a bunch of blank stares in my life. One of them actually started to explain to me that this was not necessary because everyone knew what a bumper sticker was. I suppose dry humor is not for everyone.

Pepper Spray designed to repel bears. It would take down several mean union thugs as long as they weren't upwind from you.

"We have free speech rights. They can't be allowed to shut us up, and then go around town in their own cars with all kinds of lib and anti-Bush stickers!"

Doing the same to them *would* shut them up, but then you're no better than the godd*** commies themselves (oh they hate being called that... I always follow up with "Well, if one wants to take obscene amounts of money from rich people just because they're rich, spend it on anything and everything but the military, and institute speech codes that make certain words or phrases suddenly "criminal" when words can't physically harm you, what the hell do you call it? I call it Communism, because that's what it is."). We're conservatives, dammit, we're better than that! The best way to look at it is like this, should one of these scummy degenerates remove your Bush/Cheney '04 sticker, get another one directly from the campaign, they'll probably get money from it. Although, it would be great if they made one that was un-removable, un-stainable, un-keyable so the lefties would at least be prevented from acting like children physically where lack of morality prevents them from doing so on moral grounds. :P

"...he ended up being 50 minutes late."

From what I've read, he seems to be another Clinton in this regard (among many others). If he can't plan to be someplace on time, how does he think he can lead a nation?

Check out this post from over on you-know-where -

I had a horrible experience canvassing today. We went out canvassing Democrats today to ask them to support Kerry and our local candidates. We were in apartment complexes and lower middle class housing. The young Democrats living there told us they were voting for Bush! We even met a young marine who said he was just back from Iraq and supports the war, which is why he is voting for Bush. These people have nothing and they are the ones Bush is hurting the most, and yet they support him.And they are registered Dems and young. Why is this happening. I thought our base was solid. This is very frightening. We walked for five hours and only met two people who supported Kerry on our Democratic list! What does this mean?

My father was very smart about some things but when it came to the government he was always childlike

This is how my liberal relatives are too. They live their lives as hard-boiled conservatives - then put away all they know when they form their opinions about things on a national scale they are not directly involved in - and do not see the direct results of. It helps to point out their own behavior and opinions about how they live their lives - and how different they are from their opinions about national affairs. Principles are universal - on big stages and small.

I really agree with you. I have emailed O'Reilly repeatedly for days about the Swiftboat story and he has been totally off the wall about it.

This morning I saw an old and very large Cadillac at our local supermarket with a plate that read "Disabled" and next to it, on the bumper ,was a sign which read "Survivor-Iwo Jima" and in the rear window a Kerry/Edwards sticker. I was really tempted to wait, for what was probably an elderly man, and have a few words with him. Namely Kerry's book!
But then at the Library today there was a "Bush is my Hero" sticker on a HUGE SUV.
Both occurred in MA.

You put your arguments very well, but if I tried saying that to my ultra-liberal neighbor, that would be the end of all discussion probably for ever. I don't find libs generally like to hear the truth and the MO is to shut off their access to it, probably in self-defense of their blood pressure and surviving cranial functions.

And no we cant move away from them they moved in with us a week before 9/11 due to health problems and this has been life with the pod people ever since then.

And what law requires you to keep them in your house? Just wondering.

Your story made me laugh out loud!
Loved the "grand mal fit" part.
It amazed me how folks like that CANNOT hold an intelligent discussion over the issues. They think they can WIN the debate by shouting and insulting you. They get all worked up and the spittle flies.
I had the extreme displeasure of having a conversation like that a few years back. The guy was literally insane. He just went NUTS, simply because I didn't agree with him on an issue.

Not only are they blind, they're stupid too. If they can't figure out what this means by themselves, it doesn't speak well of their overall mental acuity.

Maybe Bush isn't hurting these lower-middle income people as much as the DU canvasser has convinced himself he is - like a gal I met, with a family income of about $40,000 a year in New Hampshire, who was able to buy a new roof for her modest home thanks to the Bush tax relief.

Maybe these lower-middle income Dems are tired of being patronized by arrogant canvassers.

Panicking, they conclude that half of American voters must be babbling, incoherent idiots! Gahhhh!!!"

"And, of course, they are right"

Some years ago, I was briefly involved with a woman who said to me during a conversation, "I just think I am half crazy". I couldn't resist temptation and immediately replied,"don't underestimate yourself". She cracked up and laughed for half a minute. So many people would have been offended or wouldn't have gotten the joke but she was not one of those types.

There are a few where I work, but we outnumber them. One gave me a photo, 8x11,...mailed by RATs in a fundraiser bid...Kerry and Edwards holding hands before an adoring RAT crowd. I put it up and drew the mustaches and beards on Botoxboy and the hamster. My GW photos are taped up beside my adorable minidachsies' pictures.

In short, you've let the Democrats dictate what you say and how you say it. And you admit that it isn't effective.
