ARLINGTON, VA Today, Senator Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) issued the following statement:
"John Kerry missed 76 percent of public Senate Intelligence Committee hearings during his time on the panel. North Carolina voters should ask why Kerry proposed slashing intelligence spending by $6 billion just one year after the first World Trade Center bombing and now says he will fight a 'more sensitive War on Terror.' Kerry's comment that he is 'proud' of opposing $87 billion in funding for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that he is 'proud' that Edwards joined him in that opposition is all North Carolinians need to hear to realize we can't trust him to lead our nation in the War on Terror."
Short, sweet and to the point.
From various polls it looks like NC voters agree with Mrs Dole.
The fact that Kerry has authored no major legislation in 20 years in the Senate says that he's a follower. He's not a leader.
76% of all meetings missed???? That's three out of four meetings. Has Kerry tried to explain his delinquency? MAybe he was taking time out in one of his French Mansions just off of the coast of Normandy.
the Doles have come out swinging for Bush!
If I recall correctly, Kerry was on the Oceans and Fish committee (LOLOL).
That was smart. She came out to counter Edwards attack on W earlier today.
He has a good excuse. He was spending his wife's money.
Elzabeth Dole is a class act and SHE should run for president. a Dole-Bush 2008(Jeb)
Ted Kennedy is the puppeteer, He pulls Krrys strings.
No, she's a RINO. She is a classy lady, no doubt though. Her ACU rating isn't bad though, I think its in the low 80s.
No...he was shopping for an SUV for the family.
It's starting.....whooopie!
Go Lizzy Dole go!
So, except for her voting record, she's a RINO...
Interesting.
The 76% figure has been on FR for months. I think we need to push that figure out to the public harder and harder.
Kerry also failed to attend briefings of Nat'l Security since he bacame the Dims candidate. He stated he was too busy. How can he be too busy to attend to the biggest problem we have in the USA???
She already tried to run in 1999 ...
Bob's been hitting the Viagra again:):)
Well, her stances as she puts them would make her a fairly liberal Republican in her own admission. However, in her time in the Senate, she has voted pretty well.
