The officer who's signature is at the bottom is. He said he never saw it and never signed it.
Someone else forged the signature on the form to get Kerry the star.
I'm kind of curious why his DD-215 is dated March, 2001. It took 30 years to correct his records? Perhaps thoughts of a presidential bid?
His family was close to the Kennedy's. Everything he's ever done was for his presidential run since he was a boy.
He faked metals for 4 months , and even filmed himself in Nam for the campaign footage! This was no accident, and it's the very thing that will destroy him. Character matters.
I want Kerry to get blasted on 02 Nov 04, but lets keep the facts on our side. I'm aware of several ribbons that I should have that were not on my DD214 (I left the service on 14 Feb 74). 2 are South Vietnamese unit citations they gave to all Navy units serving in country during the war (kerry deserves them). They also missed my Good Conduct Medal. So to fix that I could submit an SF180 to correct that which would generate a DD215. The date would be 2004.
Most of us mortals don't care, but Kerry does. Why?
Nope. Lehman said on TV that it might have been signed with an 'autopen'. So the signature was not 'forged', it was just 'autopenned' onto the document without Lehman's knowledge.
It could be passed off as being done by Lehman's staff who were keeping the boss's workload down...

;-)
Given that many were shot by citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia, you would be wrong...
Note that in the election of 1860 that Virginia gave its electoral votes NOT to the Democrats, or Republicans, but to the Constitutional Unionists (John Bell and Edware Everett). Just as did her daughter the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Tennessee.
So they couldn't have all been southern Democrats...

What's the statute of limitation on treason and sedition?
Nam Vet
priceless - absolutely priceless...
Most of us mortals don't care, but Kerry does. Why?
Which is essentially my question. I'm not suggesting that he doesn't deserve the unit citations. I'll pass on commenting on the bronze stars for his VSM (my time in the army was way after Viet Nam). As I read your post, you've been aware that you're authorized more awards, but have chosen not to update your records.
But, Kerry seem's to care enough to get new citations in the 80's for his Bronze and Silver Stars. It does seem odd that he waited so long to update his DD-214.
Of Boorda and his apparent violation, Kerry said: "When you are the chief of them all, it has to weigh even more heavily.
Since Kerry was the "ONLY" hero to come out of Vietnam, then his BS awards, then perhaps JF'n will take the Boodra route to escape the agony of shame. Wishful thinking only.
This was no accident, and it's the very thing that will destroy him. Character matters.
Since when does character matter to the dimocrats?
Was intended for a dem flip-flop humor. Don't belabor the point on satire, did you really take it serious?
Actually, that might be the only legitimate thing about his medals. He does qualify for 4 stars.
Campaign stars on the Vietnam Service Medal are based on the exact dates that you're in-theater.
His Gridley cruise began in one campaign period and ended in the next one. (Tet Counteroffensive which ended 1 April 68 and Vietnamese Counteroffensive Phase IV which began 2 April 68)
His Swift boat time also overlapped into two separate campaign periods. (Vietnamese Counteroffensive Phase VI which ended 22 February 69 and Tet 69/Counteroffensive which began 23 February 69)
Each campaign period in which he served qualified him for a star on the medal.
Nope, but I always stick up for Virginia...
