Statement by Bush-Cheney ’04 Spokesman Reed Dickens
George W. Bush ^ | August 29, 2004

ARLINGTON, VA – Today, Bush-Cheney ’04 Spokesman Reed Dickens issued the following statement:

“John Kerry has spent months criticizing President Bush's foreign policy yet has not found the time to clearly lay out a plan of his own. John Kerry said in his convention speech that 'if attacked' by terrorists he would respond. This was a glimpse at his pre-September 11th mindset and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the danger our nation faces. The American people are waiting for an explanation of how John Kerry would deal with a threat as it gathers.

“John Kerry and John Edwards have touted their work on the Intelligence committee as credentials for being the commander-in-chief. John Kerry missed 76% of the Intelligence meetings in his Senate career, including all of the meetings following the attacks on the World Trade Center in 1993. John Edwards missed half of the meetings in his Senate career. John Kerry and John Edwards both voted to send our troops into battle and then both voted against the funding to provide armor and ammunition to fight the battle.

“Whether you look at his voting record, his time on the Intelligence committee, or listen to his explanations, John Kerry has repeatedly failed to communicate a plan that addresses the threats our nation faces.”

Maybe Kerry figured that after the FBI caught the jihadist jerkoff who tried to get his $400 deposit on the Ryder truck that he used to blow the WTC basement up, there wasn't much intelligence involved, and his presence wasn't needed.

Yeah...but didn't he serve in Vietnam?
