What's the deal with interviewing all the RATs during the GOP convention? I've also noticed that Fox anchors lets the RATs run out the clock and get the last word almost every time.

IMO, the whole interview format is screwed. Interview each side separately so that they have to respond to the question, not to the opponent's response to the previous question. And if the interviewee strays into his talking points, kill his mike.

They did the same for Republicans before the dem convention..I don't watch all those interviews..and believe me the others do it....I have watched enough of all the cable news to know Fox does best..even though they balance both lib and conservative views.

Glad someone else noticed it. Can't even have a REPUBLICAN convention without the rats and or rinos holding all the mics.

I think they know that Kerry is toast. They are just trying to keep the ratings up by making it appear the election is close.

I have felt this for years but never put it so
succinctly.

You have just pointed out one of the inherent biases in the news. They set up the interviews to make it seem like there is always controversy or conflict. It creates the drama that sucks in the audience. I think Fox loves this technique more than any other station. It's all about ratings and advertisement money, not reporting the news.
