NAFTA! We're doomed! FTAA! A sell out! Gosh, maybe I should have gone to the protests in New York?
Uh Joe, there is no outsourcing crisis.
And BTW, you are calling for more govt. intrusion in telling businesses how to operate. Quite hypocritical of you, IMO.
I just found out, that they were ambushed. More details coming later.
Where are you, SA?
We don't want him voted out Jim, we want him to address the issues.
What legacy will he leave, who will succeed him? Who do you think will be the candidates in 2004, for both parties?
As it turns out I am pretty near the end of my life cycle, so most of what is happening today will not drastically affect my life, but I would like to die believing there is hope for the culture that keeps the world livable.
I believe that any conservative who lives in a deciding state has a duty to reelect the President no matter how distasteful the thought may be to them. Allowing a liberal-socialist self-certified traitor to gain the office would insure a leftist Supreme Court for the next generation or more. Kerry's ascension would also undo all the work (and betray the sacrifices of our military personnel) that has been done trying to reign in the fanatics still waging religious war on us.
Why does everyone automatically think we have to go with roundups and cattle cars? Prosecuting illegal aliens' employers would trigger a voluntary mass exodus. Secondary disincentives include denial of all services not protected by Federal mandate and restrictions on the billions of remittance dollars they send out of the country. No mass roundups, no martial law, no judicial expense - a literal fortune in taxpayer money saved.
The only obstacle is forcing lawmakers to turn a deaf ear to the cries from some of their best contributors as they're being led away. Manage this like negotiated plea bargaining - make the politicians give up a few until the illegals are stampeding, then taper off prosecutions. Their incentive would be heading off investigations that could find them taking the perp walk themselves.
Back to the subject - There's a government-connected gang in Brazil who specialize in getting OTM's into our country (only one in 10 holders of Brazilian passports here turn out to be actual Brazilians). Closer to home a Mexican gang puts their clients through a crash "Mexicanization" course before sneaking them in. Once here terrorists have a ready-made support network already in place - 80% of all the mosques in America. Only 20% of our Islamic neighbors' shrines are free from Saudi-Wahhabist funding and influence.
As long as the cult of Islam is regarded as a religion precious little can be done about it under the law. It's tight control over its adherants insures lack of useful cooperation with our authorities. Anti-profiling policies borne of political correctness gives our enemies a definite edge. They surely appreciate we Americans discounting the possibility that they intend us further harm.
Well, if Bush doesn't fix all of this to your complete satisfaction by November, by all means, vote him out. Let Kerry take a shot at it. And if Kerry doesn't fix it in four more, vote him out too. And if the Republican that follows Kerry doesn't fix it, vote him out. Sooner or later they will get tired of it all and decide to listen to the voters. Simple.
Never seen such action out of you! Whassamater, DVD player broken?
Hmmm... sarcasm? Me? Never.
Here is how the government is "reforming" our trade laws. They pledge to raise the living standards throughout the hemisphere (by lowering ours).

I remain confident that the United States can play an important and constructive role in helping the region tackle the challenges it faces in terms of sustaining long term growth and raising living standards throughout the hemisphere.
--B. Taylor Under Secretary of Treasury for International Affairs
Hear, hear, well said Joe.
Just watch the coverage of the convention protesters. They won't be invisible for three or four days. Then they will be back in hiding after much media appreciation.
Congress should pass a law outlawing Islam as a valid religion in the U.S. That ought to solve everything. Ooops. Guess they'll have to repeal the first amendment first.
Justifiable anger, yes, but where are we descending to? Oops. Never mind. Figured out where we're all going if we don't change our ways.

Welcome back JR.
Good to hear you once again speak with the clarity of vision you had back in '98.
Was it, OWK, -- who once wrote; -- "Gawd, but I love it when you post like that" -- ?
They are not just my problems.
As I stated, they are now affecting every single American in this country.
