DUBAI (Reuters) - An Iraqi militant group has kidnapped two French citizens and is demanding the French government end a ban on Muslim headscarves to free them, Arabic television station Al Jazeera said Saturday.

The channel, quoting unidentified sources, named the group as the Islamic Army of Iraq. It gave no further details.

But this can't be right. The terrorists are only targeting those country's which support the United States in Iraq. (sarcasm)

The french will still blame Bush. Maybe they can send michael moore and he can do a grandstanding jesse jackson impression.

This sounds staged to me, IMO.

Just wondering if this is not in retaliation for the Frances' non support in removing Saddam.....how funny!

I am truly sorry for the French citizens taken hostage, however.

Typical of Reuters to slant the story. Anyone knows that the French citizens would have surrendered to the Iraqi group at the first sign of unpleasantness. Why blame the poor Iraqis for kidnapping?
