Why in heavens name has NY even allowed any protests, considering the hightened threat of terrorism? It is beyond me.
I think they have to allow it. I don't really take issue to protesters but I definitely take issue with terrorists and I have a special hate for domestic terrorists that don't deserve the privledges afforded them by being citizens of the United States. Advocating intimidation and violence for political change is terrorism and they should be prosecuted accordingly. If they come completely unhinged, well I believe we could act in self defense.
Isn't it interesting that most all violent political demonstrators are Democrat.
I think they issued something like 26 permits for protests...that has nothing to do with the numbers of people. They are expecting 250,000 in one march Sunday.
250,000 lunatics in one area is not going to be a day at the beach for the NYPD. I wish them the best.
I'd probably call out the National Guard!
Or, BG, they could simply be dupes. Someone convinced them that it's hip to protest. The WTO wasn't a protest - it was a happening, right out of the 60's.
What we'll see in New York this coming week, will be Seattle-'99, Chicago-'68, and LA-'92, all in one big media-fueled extravaganza.
And The Sheep will be convinced that this violence is all Bush's fault.
It may come to that since you told of the 250,000 at one protest.
It is some kind of march...don't know the details. It will probably get them all in one place at the end.
Probably will draw in all protesters, no matter what their special beef.
Well on the bright side, America will finally get to see the democrat support base in all it's unbridled glory :) It should do wonders for the swing voters.
It's finally time to declare that these communists and anti-Americans are indeed terrorists. Once they are declared terrorists, they need to be arrested and placed into indefinite incarceration just like Gitmo. Only I wouldn't send them to Cuba.
I hear Siberia could use some hard working, young men and women this time of year - getting things ready for the winter. Maybe we could bring them back next summer. Nah. They can stay there.
Shawn Macomber is a budding Mark Steyn
We could only hope :)
Pitiful. (And to think that guy was actually a state senator.) He helped make "democrat" and "communist" one and the same.
This scum should absolutly be considered a serious threat and dealt with accordingly. Quite a contrast to Boston, huh? I hope that if our fine news media bothers to show them in action, that real Americans wake up and see who with their POS hero want to run America. Very scary. Don't want to vote for Bush because of one issue or another? Well guess what, some of these idiots will vote.
Tom Hayde, Ted Rall, etc... we could clean house really well if they wanted to this week. I'd think Tom Hayden could go down for "inciting violence"????? These people can't have it both ways. They believe in communism? Well give them what they want -- show them what happens in China when people try to do what they are planning to do? They go where they are never heard from again, that's what happens.
That indeed would be a good start!
We're looking at the future leadership of the democratic party.
A number of extremists with ties to the 1970s radical Weather Underground have recently been released from prison and are in New York preparing to wreak havoc during the Republican National Convention, The Post has learned.
A top-level source with extensive knowledge of police plans wouldn't disclose the names of the aging rabble-rousers but said a handful of them are already here and will play a behind-the-scenes role in attempting to disrupt the GOP gala.
"These people are trained in kidnapping techniques, bombmaking and building improvised munitions," the source said. "They've very bad people."
