IMHO .. I agree, Kerry made it the centerpiece. He had successfully stared down the vets in MA before, and figured he could do it again. There is a 2002 interview with Kerry done by Broder of the WaPost, which has Kerry quoted as saying he thought that being a medaled vet and a anti-war protester was good and would be seen as brave. Bill Bennett mentioned this last nite on H&C.

It is only after the Swifties stood up to Kerry and faced him down, has others come running to their side to help. Maybe there is going to be a stampede and bury Kerry. In no way should this person be anywhere near the Presidency.
