Jan Govan has been a lawyer in Pinellas County for twenty years and is admitted to all Florida Courts and the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Jan Govan has stated: "I have sworn an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the State of Florida and the Constitution of the United States of America. The Oath of Admission to the Florida Bar contains the following: 'I will never reject, from any consideration personal to myself, the cause of the defenseless or oppressed...' and ends with: 'So help me God."'
Jan Govan has stated that the role of the Florida bench is to bring about and protect the rights granted by the Florida Constitution which states, in part: "All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty, to pursue happiness, to be rewarded for industry and to acquire possessions and protect property. No person shall be deprived of any right because of race, religion, national origin, or physical disability."
Jan Govan is endorsed by National Right to Life and Florida Right to Life.

LOL! Little bit of a typo there, huh? It's descendants, not defendants. However, seeing how this is applying to a judicial race, perhaps defendants is the more appropriate term! ;-)
Jan Govan should get the votes of every decent citizen. Judge Greer want to starve a disabled woman to death -- a horrible way to die.
