To you TonyInOhio, thanks for posting.

On the article, this is just damning, the person known as John Kerry is a despicable person.

Excellent article.

Kerry's statements just show his tremendous hypocrisy and double standard.

Evan Thomas, then Newsweek's Washington bureau chief who was scheduled to interview the Admiral, explained that he was devastated by his death, but defended his magazine's pursuit of the combat award story. "We've got to do our job," he said. "Part of that job is checking on the truthfulness of people in positions of power. Like the admiral."

Maybe we should send this quote ti Evan. I am sure he will then try to find out the truth about Kerry.

Boorda must be rolling over in his grave right now. I was wondering about this story. I couldn't remember the Admiral's name. And of course, like clockwork, thr FReeper bus shows up with a relevant thread.

“The military is a rigorous culture that places a high premium on battlefield accomplishment,” said Sen. John F. Kerry, who received numerous decorations, including a Bronze Star with a "V" pin, as a Navy lieutenant in Vietnam.

“In a sense, there's nothing that says more about your career than when you fought, where you fought and how you fought,” Kerry said.

“If you wind up being less than what you’re pretending to be, there is a major confrontation with value and self-esteem and your sense of how others view you.”

Don't miss this.

Lord Kerry felt moved to speak out on the Boorda issue and it will make you sick.

No, no. Don't even THINK about holding him to the standard he sets for others.

Any veteran with a sense of duty, honor and country could not possibly support Kerry.

First of all, great find! Thanks for posting.

It would appear that the words of the putz being in quotes “The military is a rigorous culture that places a high premium on battlefield accomplishment,”

are seperate from the words of the author that are not in quotes.

said Sen. John F. Kerry, who received numerous decorations, including a Bronze Star with a "V" pin, as a Navy lieutenant in Vietnam.

Citing uncertainty of whether Boorda deliberately wore the pins improperly, Kerry added: “If he made a mistake, in my judgment it wasn't worth his life, so I'm very sad about it.”

Wow. He's just profound and...*nuanced*!

This "V" claim appeared on his website and he is ultimately responsible for the website's content. Perhaps it was posted mistakenly and Kerry wasn't aware of it? He hasn't been heard to make this claim himself. What argues against my suggestion is the "pattern of behavior" that the Swiftvets have highlighted.
