With respected MDs and Scientist questioning the safety of Ritalin, the advent of new seemingly safer drugs and the success of other treatments nobody on this thread deserves to be compared with those who refuse all medical treatment or medical treatment for racist reasons.

You may disagree, the medical community is in disagreement as well, but your characterization was wrong IMHO.

The point was the ignorance, not the racism. That may not have been the best comparison and it's too bad you felt it insulting.

I am glad there are newer, safer non-stimulant alternatives. They seem to have a great benefit. I would certainly try those before the ritalin. agreed.

To do nothing for a kid who needs it is ignorant.
