St. Mark's Church, 131 E. 10th St. (2nd Ave.), 7:20 (first-timers should arrive early).
I-Witness Video training
Video witnesses use cameras to document arrests and incidents of police misconduct. Last year, the video evidence collected by an I-Witness videographer achieved the unheard-of: a cop in Ireland getting convicted (he'd run over a crowd of people with a car). You can participate whether or not you have a camerathose with cameras need the eyes and ears of at least one companion. St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 521 W. 126th St., (betw. B'way & Amsterdam Ave.), 6:30.

The World Says No
Otherwise known as "the big march." United for Peace and Justice is suing Bloomberg, Kelly and the Parks commissioner over access to Central Park, so the final destination of Sunday's march is still undetermined. 7th Ave. (14th St.), meet at 10; march leaves at noon.
Million Billionaire March
Join the Bills at 10 a.m. in the park for croquet as they launch their "Get Off the Grass" campaign to privatize Central Park. This is the final stop on the Billionaires' Get on the Limo Tour, in which the satirical theater group drove in an actual limo through a range of swing states professing allegiance to big business, big money, big oil. Fancy dress is required. The Plaza Hotel, Fifth Ave. (59th St.), noon.
The Clandestine Insurgent Revolutionary Clown Army (CIRCA)
The Clandestine Insurgent Revolutionary Clown Army has heard that a big clown convention has come to town, and as part of the big-top delegation, they're wondering why they can't attend; after all, Clown George is rumored to have the best drugs and the most fun. CIRCA will be clowning around the larger march. Those looking for a light-hearted, creative place to plug in should dress in their best clown attire and bring "Mission A-Complicated" signs. Madison Square Park, 5th Ave. (23rd St.), noon.
Mon., Aug. 30
Poor People's Marches Pt. 1 and 2
The first march is permitted and organized by the Still We Rise Coalition, which represents a group of over 35 organizations led by New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS. That steps off at noon from Union Square and marches to Madison Square Garden for a 2 p.m. rally. The second event, organized by Philadelphia's Kensington Welfare Rights Union, is called "March for Our Lives," and meets at 4 p.m. in front of the U.N. at 45th and 1st Ave.
Critical Art Ensemble Benefit
Back in May, artist and University of Buffalo professor Steve Kurtz woke to find his wife, Hope, dead from cardiac arrest. When police arrived, they saw the Petri dishes and other science-oriented materials he and Hope were using in art projects and immediately arrested him on suspicion of bioterrorism. They confiscated much of his house, and Hope's body. Kurtz now faces 20 years in jail. Attend BASH-croft, a night of post-punk music at OfficeOps to support his legal defense fund. 57 Thames St. (Vandervoot Pl.), 718-418-2509; 8, $6.

Actions are planned for 4 and 6, with a convergence on Madison Square Garden at 7, in addition to the civil disobedience that groups like the revered War Resisters League are planning. Complete information is available at A31.org or by calling the hotline at 212-561-0746.
Nancy Reagan started that - eh? Works every time it's tried...
What's the old saying..."shoot, shovel, shut up"?
Doesn't that say it all?
Unless they're books that are negative about John Kerry. Then they want to bomb the writers with smear campaigns.
Bring snacks;
I may have watched the same thing. It was followed by some leftist WABC-TV newscast. Even THEY said this could look bad for Effin' Kerry.
No kidding. Warm up those water cannons!
Looks like some of the known are down with the get out the vote message ..
But can they be cuffed fast enough?
But can they be cuffed fast enough?
That's a good question . The Mayor basically gave them permission & discount coupons but then again it's NY .
I have an idea. Everyone give them cigarettes and tell them smoking is legal everywhere.
A reduced rate in some 'tent city'? An extra pattie at the White Castle? More salt on the super-sized fries? I'll be looking forward to watching numbnuts being maced rather that wasting my time with the Olympics.
Bring on the games!
Yep - that's the one...
Stupid herd animals do that.
