Alice Cooper was from Michigan? I"m from AZ and my guitar player was in the FIRST Alice Cooper band called the "Earwigs." He was replaced by Bill Spooner, who then left Alice Cooper's band to form "The Tubes," one of my favorite groups.

I grew up in Dearborn, just outside Detroit, and I remember when he played at a lot of local pop festivals in the late 60s. I'm pretty sure he was a local boy.

We're White Punks on dope,

Mom and dad live in Hollywood,

Hang myself if I get enough rope,

White Punks on dope...

Your mentioning the Tubes takes me back. The Tubes and the Dead Kennedys were my favorite rock groups way back then. Every time I see Lurch, I hear the tune of Holiday in Cambodia.

Ah, the Tubes. I saw them on SCTV for the first time in the late 70s, they did "Susie Sushie", and I've been a fan ever since.
