The story of the American little league hockey players being booed when the American national anthem played in Canada, comes to mind. That is not the action of the Canadian Government, that is the voice of the people.

Now, in all seriousness. If Canada was attacked, you are right, America would assist. For the simple fact that Canada is right on our border. That is a security threat to the USA and I assume that it is somewhat easier to get American troops to Canada as opposed to Afghanistan or Iraq. If America was attacked would Canada help out? Who knows? Looking at all the help the Canadians are giving us now, after 9-11, I would guess that Canada would not help out America at all.

Mike,

How about the Canadians that donated so much blood after 9/11 that the Red Cross had to finally reject it because they couldn't handle the flood?

How about the Canadians that housed and hosted all those Americans after US airspace was shut down and we couldn't get home (I was one of them)?

How about the thousands of Canadians that rallied with Stars & Stripes in Ottawa to show their solidarity with their neighbour after they got embarrassed by a few individual loudmouth leftists?

How about the Canadians helping out in Afghanistan? Our troops speak very highly of the Canadians.

No, I think we could definitely count on on our neighbours to the north.

When Japanese troops landed in Alaska and invaded U.S. soil, Canada sent troops planes and ships to help chase them out. The only country to invade Canada was America. The last Canadian troops killed in a combat zone were killed by you guys in Afghanistan so cut the crap.
