'The last thing I wanted to do was to distract, which is exactly what the Kerry smear machine is trying to do,' Ben Ginsburg says on CNN Wolf Britzer reports.

MORE GINSBERG: 'We did not coordinate with this group and this group did not coordinate with the campaign, and I was at the nexus and made sure that did not happen.'

Ginsberg is a fine lawyer, and should not have resigned. But I am told Rove wants every revelation dealt with inside of 24 hours to end the press cycle before it begins, which has worked well so far. Ginsberg is the foremost expert on 527 rules and hopefully he will be freed up to assist other right-wing 527s which are scheduled to turn loose this month.

I didn't catch Night Line. I saw Ginsberg earlier on Fox's O'Reilly.   I thought he did excellent.   He's always been honest and straightforward.   Of course, you know how the Dems will spin it another way.   They've become disgusting, and the polls are showing it.
