John Kerry's dog, VC, catapults through the air after a mine explodes under Kerry's boat......
"I have always had pets in my life, and there are a few that I remember very fondly," Mr. Kerry replied. "When I was serving on a Swift Boat in Vietnam, my crewmates and I had a dog we called VC.
"One day as our Swift Boat was heading up a river, a mine exploded hard under our boat," he continued. "After picking ourselves up, we discovered VC was MIA (missing in action). Several minutes of frantic search followed, after which we thought we'd lost him. We were relieved when another boat called asking if we were missing a dog."
Said Mr. Kerry: "It turns out VC was catapulted from the deck of our boat and landed, confused but unhurt, on the deck of another boat in our patrol."
Humane USA has confirmed that the organization did, in fact, receive the above statement from the Kerry campaign.
No military records on Mr. Kerry's Web site, which aides say is a complete accounting, mention a mine exploding under his boat or any dog. The only report of a mine detonating "near" Mr. Kerry's PCF 94 was March 13, 1969, when Mr. Kerry says he was injured and a man knocked overboard.
Is that kerry holding on to the other end of the leash???
*snort*
*guffaw*
*snurgle*
You know what's really funny about that whole dog story? The Humane Society asked him about a pet. He managed to turn that into a I-was-in-Vietnam story. Typical.

What a crock! Even if there were a dog in close proximity, the VC would have cooked and eaten him before the dog could get blown off Kerry's swiftboat.
"No Dog Left Behind" is the winner! A great one there my friend.
Ahh, yes....."wokking the dog."
"...a mine exploded hard under our boat."
This is unlike the newly created JFKerry mine, which explodes much more sensitively. A bas les mines dur!

All your dog are belong to us!
I'm pretty sure I recently saw a picture with Kerry holding a little dog in Vietnam. Yuck.
Kerry needs some learnin' from Clinton about how to "walk his dog" so it doesn't get blown onto another boat!
That looks like Neil, the Kirby's dog in Topper (if you're old enough... ;-)
I saw VC every day! Sometimes two at a time.(when I was drinking) Sometimes I could feel VC's breathing down my neck. Other times I'd look for VC everywhere and he wasn't to be found.
(I wonder how many of the VC in sKerry report were actually his dog??????)
Since I first heard this story of John waFfle King's supposed dog, I've wondered how one could name "man's best friend" after his supposed mortal enemy...
stolen from another website:
"Marine Engineering
1.John Kerry, during his "Vietnam Experience", was only stationed aboard two U.S.Navy Vessels. Patrol Craft Fast(PCF)#44 and #94. Taking into account the laws of physics, an underwater mine that would have physically been capable of lifting a 50' Aluminum Swiftboat that weighs 47,000 lbs., in a manner in which to "launch" a 20 lb. dog airborne, would have caused catastrophic hull damage. The hulls on these vessels are 1\4" thick 5086-H321 Aluminum alloy w\ all scantling extrusions(t-bar,Angles,etc) of 1\4" 5086-H311 Aluminum alloy. The vessel would have been seriously damaged or, more probably, sunk. In either event, there would have been a Navy inquiry and subsequent documentation of repair. There isn't any.
2.If, indeed Newtons Laws were magically abridged and Kerry's "beloved dog" VC was launched as in Kerry's above description, to land on another of the OPERATING Swiftboats decks, while underway, Kerry is admitting that the vessels operate so close together while underway that the crews on each boat are in close visual contact with the actions of the crews on their counterparts boat.It validates the claim of Swiftboat Veterans For Truth that Swiftboats operated in such close proximity that crews from one vessel in the pack were quite capable of observing and judging the operations aboard another vessel in the pack. This assists to corroborate Swiftboat Veterans for Truth member Van Odell's account of being so close as to be able to clearly see the "rescue" by Kerry, of Jim Rassmann and invalidating Kerry's claim that they were under fire."
"Several minutes of frantic search followed,....."
Was this before or after kerry cut and ran??
