Former Georgia Senator Max Cleland, left, and former Green Beret Lt. Jim Rassmann, center, approach a Secret Service Agent, right, on station at the check point to the entrance of President Bush (news - web sites)'s ranch Wednesday Aug. 25, 2004 in Crawford, Texas. Cleland tried to deliver a letter protesting ads challenging John Kerry (news - web sites)'s Vietnam service to President Bush at his Texas ranch Wednesday, but the Secret Service stopped Cleland short of his goal. That was a good idea!~
He not only a coward he is evil,Bush team has to remember this guy knows what he is doing.

Can you imagine using children and people with handicaps? Blecch. What's next, his grandmother?
Got that right. What a pig. Who will Kerry use next, someone with AIDS?
Wow . . . he's kinda hot in that picture!
I am surprized that SOMEONE wasn't out there to greet them & give them a glass of ice tea. It wasn't showing Texas hospitality to send them away on a hot day after a long drive. Shame shame.
My dad was a double amputee and would not use a handicapped parking spot without the handicapped sticker in his window.
Cleland is clearly exploiting his handicap. Disgusting.
Nah...this isn't a biased report. /sarcasm
Kerry is a coward.
"He'd probably have made a run for the ranch with a stick."
Which would have been more honorable than his run at the ranch with a sleezy, low down, manure ingesting liberal Democrat trick.
The Democrats battle plans for this election, are very similar to the battle of the bulge excercise by the Nazi's in their final act of absolute desperation to avoid the humility of unconditional surrender.
The cunning of the Nazi's failed, as surely as will the ruses of a party that promises the impossible.
I don't care how badly that SOB Cleland was injured.
He's a cheap political hack and deserved to be turned
away. Now, let's hope the Bush people don't start
apologizing for it.
Amen....I hate show-offs. Anybody as hateful talking and bashing my President, I have no pity for. That is what he wants.....Pity. John Kerry is a rotten scoundrel and I wish I could slap him in the face (like Terraaaza does)..I bet she would knock the pee out of him if she was mad enough.
Plus...W gave Cleland a job...so essentially the little Maxie works for W...so...how about that?
Initially posted by RPP and then Ironman:
"...The SS agent is also a Vietnam Vet and has his own letter to give to Cleland explaing why he supports Bush..."
I think you're mistaken on this...
These newspaper reporters couldn't write a sensible story to save their lives! How could they take such a simple event and make it so confusing? The Secret Service agent in the picture was merely an itch in his daddy's pants while the Vietnam War was in progress. He looks to be in his twenties or thirties.
Max Cleland is a horrible person. It is such a transparent stunt to people with any kind of cognitive skills. Honest handicapped people must cringe when they see "amateur hour" tactics like this...pivoting entirely on public empathy for the horrific injuries.

Max, Max, Max. Why is a hero sullying himself like this. What a pitiful sight.
Jim Rassman, we are going to find out why you left the L.A. Sheriff's department.
The Kerry campaign says this wasn't a political stunt for theater purpose...
Riiiiight.

Yeah Right, and pigs can fly.
