NEW YORK (AP) _ A day before Republicans swarm into Madison Square Garden, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will stroll into the arena to make the Democrats' case against the GOP on national television.
Clinton, perhaps the brightest star among Democrats slated to counter the GOP message at the Republican National Convention, will appear on several of the Sunday morning political chat shows the day before the convention begins. She is to appear on CNN's ``Late Edi6ion,'' ABC's ``This Week'' and NBC's ``Meet the Press.'' The ``Meet the Press'' appearance will give Clinton a chance to counter-punch with an old nemesis.
Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani is also set to appear on the show that morning, though at a different time. Clinton and Giuliani faced off for the Senate in 2000, until Giuliani dropped out of the race after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Giuliani now runs a private consulting company and is widely viewed as a top prospect to challenge the senator when she faces re-election in 2006. After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Giuliani became a prized GOP speaker, and he is slated to talk about Sept. 11 when the four-day convention begins Monday.
The New York senator is expected to be a key part of Democratic party efforts to counter the Republican message. An outspoken critic of the administration's homeland security funding policies and management of the Iraq war, Clinton muted her criticism of President Bush during the Democrats' convention last month in Boston, choosing instead to praise Democratic candidate John Kerry.
Clinton's string of TV appearances comes at the request of the Kerry campaign, which was criticized when the senator was initially left off the list of speakers at the Democrats' convention. A number of Democratic women complained, and she was invited to introduce her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
A spokesman for the Bush-Cheney campaign did not immediately return a call for comment.

Clinton, perhaps the brightest star among Democrats ... Bright? I can think of may adjectives more suited to the senator than the word "bright". How about ruthless or clever, for starters!

Good news. The single best way to insure a record Republican turnout is to give Hillary air time.

"Courtesy" is not in this b*tch's repertoire. When the demoncRATS had their convention, the President was low key.

Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani is also set to appear on the show that morning,
though at a different time. Naturally. The next time she subjects herself to tough questioning will be the first time.

Clinton, perhaps the brightest star among Democrats ... Interestingly enough, "bright" is the word that's being hijacked by the atheist community to describe themselves much like homosexuals co-opted "gay". Just a bit o' trivia.

Reminds me of that old movie where a bunch of folks are pinned down by Indians and the Indians plant aiming stakes so the archers can better target them. Only reason Hillie would be in NYC.
Hillie is givng the NYC kerrorists tips on fighting dirty.

Interesting that the republicans did nothing to disrupt thedemocrat convention..Seems there was a "cease fire" agreement on both sides....as usual only one side complies..

Ramsey Clark to Join Panel for Saddams Defense
arabnews press release 25 August 2004

From Kerry's "The New Soldier":
Al Hubbard Sgt., 22 Troop Carrier Squadron Aug. 65-June 66
Emotions: Walking down the flight line at Saigon past stacks of aluminum cases containing American bodies and past stacks of aluminum luggage containing American currency. Seeing the tight, sad face of an Airman loading the bodies aboard a dirty Air Force Transport and the wide smiling face of a stewardess greeting the passengers aboard a clean Pan American Clipper Jet. Hearing a Vietnamese beg you to leave his country and an American colonel tells you to bomb his country. Hearing a Vietnamese invite you to live in his home, after the war and an American explain why you cant live in his block, after the war. Flying over barren, brown, safe American held terrain and over lush, green unsafe enemy terrain. Feeling happy to be leaving a country in which you do not belong and sad to be returning to a country in which you are not allowed to belong. Sacrificing a portion of your consciousness so you wont have to deal with being there and building mental blocks so you wont have to deal with having been there.
- Al Hubbard, proven fraud who never set foot in Viet Nam. The only Vietnamese he ever met was when he was collaborating with the North Vietnamese in Paris
on the American Communist Party's nickel.
John Kerry's explanation: "He (Hubbard) simply exaggarated his particular position.
But nobody knew it at the time. And those things happen."

So Shrillery is back from checking out European icebergs with McCain, huh? Wonder if Johnnie came home with Hill or if he's still hiding out in Weenieland.

I am sure the media will give more coverage to Hillary than they will to the whole GOP convention. Of course with the size of Hillary thighs, it takes a lot of coverage.

Any chance the security can be beefed up to the point where she misses all of the shows???

Just commented earlier in the day wondering "Where's the queen and why so silent"? Practicing for them interviews, YA KNOW....(cause she can't speak off the cuff without going into a tirade). Timmee Russert will be SOOOOO happy to have his best friend at the table. Tim, tell her you think she lost 10 oz. and she'll love you forever!!
