Let's see, Rumsfeld on 9/11 was where? Kerry on 9/11 was doing what? If I remember, Rumsfeld was helping the EMS with evacuees at the Pentagon, and Kerry was sitting on his hands for 40 minutes, unable to think.

AND...a fact Kerry also revealed in that statement that gets overlooked: They (Daschle, Boxer, Reid, Kerry) sat, frozen for 40 minutes, and didn't move until 'the White House called and told them [the Senators] to evacuate.'
They didn't know what to do until someone at the WH called them and told them what to do.

(After 20 years in the Senate, all Kerry has to run on is 4 months of service in Viet Nam.)

Thank you! Every time I hear his name I think of Rumsfeld hauling the wounded out of the Pentagon---not a young man, and entitled by age, rank and sheer merit to take cover.
Whereas John Kerry sat frozen for the better part of the hour, then evacuated. Delicacy forbids I speculate where.
