The incidents (plane crashes) come just days before a presidential election in Chechyna where Moscow has been battling separatist rebels for a decade. The rebels launched a major raid in the local capital Grozny last week and have promised more attacks.

This is Bush's fault! If he hadn't unilaterally gone into Iraq the terrorists in Russia wouldn't have to punish Putin for trying to stall the Iraq invasion, and I find the timing of this suspicious. Bus Fire in Moscow Parking Lot Kills 5 (also happened yesterday)
A gas canister used for cooking near the front of the bus exploded at about 2:15 a.m., sparking the blaze that quickly spread through the vehicle parked on the seven-kilometer mark of the Moscow Ring Road, a police spokesman told Interfax.
