Facts, half-truths and passionately tendentious opinions get tumbled together on screen like laundry in an industrial dryer - without the softeners of fact-checking or reflection.

Yeah, it's a pity we can't be all nuanced and sophisticated like you folks at The Times. You guys really see all sides of an issue and provide a fair and balanced assessment of the facts. < /screaming sarcasm >

I disagree. I find it quite absorbent. Also works if you have a new puppy or need to wrap fish.

Um. Was John Warner Sec of the Navy when Kerry was in Vietnam making him part of Kerry's chain of command? Isn't the Times engaging in a little excessive hyperbole itself?

Well, what did the Times do to find out what Kerry did in Vietnam? They could have used this space, the space they're using to bash their competition to do just that, but they didn't. And they won't.

anchors do not referee - they act as if their reportage is fair and accurate as long as they have two opposing spokesmen on any issue.

NY Times translation: {insert lispy, whining, liberal intonation here} Why, oh why, can't cable news outlets have 4 or 5 liberals sitting around agreeing with each other's liberal spin like they do on PBS and NPR??

Ok, so where is the NY Times research? The Times now sits back and waits for cable news to do the real work?

"Mr. Dole made a lot of news on Sunday, but CNN allowed him to make misleading assertions without pointing out where he was in error."
I'm sure glad the NYT is here to prevent this in the print media. They certainly never allow a liberal to make misleading assertions without correcting them. (When pigs fly).

So the New York Times calls the cable news coverage on Kerry in Vietnam "perfunctory and confusing." That's light years better than bigoted and dishonest, which refers to the Times itself.

Don't these people READ what they write? Don't they have the ability to realize how stupid they appear when they write and print an article like this? I suppose not.

What a pant load. The NY Times runs a full page article full of innuendo and guilt by association regarding the time-line and funding for the SVFT but fails to do the same for moveon.org.

Bias, thy name is the NY Times.

As opposed to a tidal wave of outright lying bias at the NYT itself.

Typical NYT self-aggrandizing drivel. Heaven forbid anyone air both sides of a controversy in the hope of discovering the truth, what planet are they living on anyway? I sense a bit of "cable envy" from this lot of tired old paper-peddlers whose medium is as obsolete as the buggy whip.

The Fox News babes look as much like Amber Frey as Momma Kerry does, but they were honest in saying "Carville shrieked at him" though....

You can just smell the arrogancy and elitist snobbery dripping from a Times article.

More garbage from the Slimes. When you can't attack the message, attack the messenger. Typical Democrat tactics. Look for this as the next DNC talking point.

If I didn't despise the Kerry Kamp so much, I would feel sorry for them --- suffering as they are with this "Tar Baby" they simply can't be shake loose from...

IF THEY BELIEVED Kerry, they would demand he end it all by signing SF180 and RELEASE ALL HIS RECORDS..

Of course - this would mean the end of Kerry's "Hero Status" and leave him holding a bag marked "LIAR, LOSER, TRAITOR, COWARD".....
