In 1984, he called Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) "soft on communism" for his antiwar stance during the Vietnam War and charged that Kerry "gave aid and comfort to the enemy and probably caused some of my guys to get killed."

I messed up my first time I posted. Here's what Patton said about Kerry:

Apparently Patton's aggressive comments caused the GOP candidate for Senate in MA to back off.

But does mean we should ignore them now that Kerry is running for President?
