I'm aware of that but I had never heard Kerry admit it was self-inflicted.
I mean that is what the Swiftvets have been saying that it was self-inflicted and the his commanding officer refused to turn it in but he ended up getting it. Although no one knew how of who put him in for it.

Don't forget....Hurley had no documentation to prove his point either, and he had to say all he had was John Kerry's word.
Good for Buchanan defending Malkin!!! But did you catch it? Matthews had to watch the tape 12 times! I bet he's catching heat all over for his treatment of Michelle., and did you see his nasty little snide pretense that she was so insignificant he wasn't even sure what her last name was.
I LOVE them making fun of Kerry's phoney accent!!! Just shows the man really is such a phoney, elitist prick...was then, is now!

He [Majopr Garrett- FoxNews] said he ask the Kerry campaign for a comment about that and then he said that the Kerry people said it was possible the first Purple Heart was given for a un-intensionally self-inflicted wound. I heard it too. If the Kerry camp admits the Swiftees are right about one thing, only one, then the dam will break. The Kerry campaign would be crazy to admit the 1st PH was improvidently granted. Also, just for reference, this PH is the one where Kerry fired a grenade that hit too close, and took a piece of metal in the arm. Thorsen is the doctor who treated it. Hibbard is the CO who refused to forward Kerry's application. Kerry resubmitted his application via a different chain of command (one that did not include Hibbard) three months later.

Gergen's desperation started last week on Chrissie's show. From the infamous Matthews/Malkin show:
"John Kerry is getting the best of this argument. When he says, its fronting for the Bush people, the money does come from Republicans and everybody connects the dots. The conclusion is that they are doing the dirty work. The president ought to denounce this ad and move on. Its a losing proposition for the president."
Pathetic spin by Gergen. Note that he has never criticized the false malicious ads produced by Kerry's pals like Zach from Moveon and so forth.

Brinkley has in his possession John Kerry's journal; the one that has Kerry writing about being in Cambodia; why doesn't HE tell us all what Kerry said about it?
Kerry's Vietnam journals obviously have some problems with consistency and truthfulness.

So the Kerry campaign is admitting the first PH is was not deserved... that's what I surmise from the FNC.
Is there anyway to substantiate this?
This should be good.

I've seen Brinkley numerous times on the tube before and I've never seen him come across as nervous and scared until tonight.
He was sweating, literally.
To: Howlin
I heard what Major Garrett said as well. Completely agree with your description.
How can you people watch Matthews??
Just reading this thread is making me crazy! LOL!!

They have another think if they tear into Dole. He can be quite cordial and mannerly, but he also has an acid tongue that is quick as lightning.
Doesn't this quick investigation bring to light how the old media refuses to investigate the sKerry controversy?

buchanan has to keep up appearances that he's conservative...that's what he's paid for (a figurehead conservative only).
He just released his latest anti-Bush book in time for a close election.
To: Numbers Guy
Even better, after the pro-Kerry Gergen spin, Matthews closed out by saying "MATTHEWS: Well said, David. You are my kind of Republican."
As if Gergen has ever been a Republican.
To: PISANO
I heard it too, from Brit Hume.

Scratch Alan "Massah needs to pay us reparations" Keyes. His true beliefs are out now and he is not a conservative.

Brinkley joins the "shrapnel in the arm, if it had gone higher would have been in the eye", ergo the purple heart was earned. Then why does Max Cleleand not have a PH for the incident that cost him his legs and one arm? It's not just the size of the injury, it is also the circumstances.
