They are pathetic. They are telling listeners to go to bookstores and move the book "Unfit for Command" to the fiction section.
"mischef"?
Did they burn the mashed potatoes?
How pathetic is that.
I don't even waste my time going to bookstores anymore. I just buy what I need online, have it delivered to my home and bypass all that nonsense of having to deal with store clerks or other.
I wonder what they'll tell their few listeners to do next.. TP houses that have Bush/Cheney signs?
Yup. I've often thought that we are, at times, a victim of our freedoms.
Freedom of speech oftentimes allows people to say stupid things, without threat of accountability.
Freedom to bear arms sometimes results in people who bear arms for the purpose of ill will.
Freedom of expression oftentimes means that people will express themselves, in ways with which many of us will categorically disagree.
And so it goes...
Back to my first point about "free speech": even though it was made by leftists, there is a great line from the movie "The American President", and in this line, President Shepherd (Michael Douglas) is talking about the difficulty of democracy. He's speaking to the WH Pirahna (press) corp.
"America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad...'cause it's gonna put up a fight.
"It's gonna say, you want to talk about 'free speech'? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs, that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours."
Went to Walden Books yesterday in White Marsh MD, a huge Rouse shopping center. A rack of Clinton books marked 15% off almost blocked the entrance.
No mention of UFC on the best seller rack or any mention of taking orders for this best seller that the whole country is talking about No poster.....zip.
Me: Do you have Unfit for Command?
Young Lady: "No, we did have it but we sold all our copies.
The publisher is printing more, they did not expect the run to sell out so fast"
Me: Waiting for the young lady to say:
" Would you like to order a copy? May I take your name, when they arrive I will call you or hold one for you."
Young Lady: Silent.
Me: OK Thank you, I get it from Amazon.
Young Lady: Yes, you can get it on Amazon.
Awsome!
Hey, I've been doing this for years!! I go into my favorite bookstore and of course they have all the lefty books right there in front. So I just go get all the books I like and put them in front of the lefties.! Great Fun!!
Americans aren't dumb.
Then explain to me how Clinton was not only elected, but reelected. Explain to me how Hitlery got elected to the Senate from a state she had never even lived in before. Explain to me how John F'n Kerry is running neck in neck with George Bush.
Please add some copies so interested buyers can contemplate that John Kerry has called for the censorship of this book and the ads based on the content that the authors are airing.
The local Wal-Mart doesn't sell ANY conservative books. All you see are leftist books. I don't get to see our local Borders Group store but don't see many books either. They don't want to order them because the town is too leftist.
Unfortunately, Bush has joined the crowd by calling for the banning or stopping of all 527s and/or their ads. It's hard to find someone in power who'll actually defend FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!
They just started airing in San Diego - What a laugh ! This woman on the air now is going nuts over the SwiftVets ads. You would think by now they would be yelling at Kerry to sign the damn form and get all of this over with so they can moveon, but not even a hint in that direction.
Keep up the pressure SwiftVets - they are not even mentioning the latest ad, how could they possibly spin the traitors own words...
