For much of my life I have grappled with my identity, who I am. As a young child, I wasnt at all ambivalent about myself, and this lack of ambivalence left me confused.
Thinking that I was doing the right thing, I have not spoken about this subject. I imposed the politically correct reality unto myself, a reality which is layered with all the good things and right things, including not saying down at the pub that you fancy a gorgeous woman seated across the room and question the law of gravity in reference to her bodacious tatas. These include not overtly admiring the view when a young lady in a miniskirt passes by, and by not responding with even a peep of a wolf whistle. But at a point in every person's life, one has to look deeply into the mirror of one's soul and decide one's unique truth in the world, not as we may want to see it or hope to see it, but as it is.
And my truth is that I am a straight Goth. I am here today because I confess that I love, admire and adore women and I wear lots of black. I know according to the norms of political correctness this is bad and wrong. According to their norms, I should be hanging outside of public restrooms waiting for George Michael and listening to Dixie Chicks albums. But instead I have been listening to Switchblade Symphony and finding my pulse quickens whenever an attractive woman walks into the room.

Good writing but, as the author says, the liberal media will do all it can to help out any left wing politician with their, "Irrelevant Confessions".
Sounds like a great title for a book. Better copyright it now. ;^)

You are not alone, Right Goth. For I, myself, have as my wallpaper a Top of the Pops photo of Bauhaus (Daniel Ash...ahhhh - I am a straight, married girl) and a photo of GWB taped to the monitor.
Going to Siouxsie in 13 days!

Aw, geez, ya sound like some confused adolescent. Walk it off! Too much self-absorbtion never solved anything.
I am a straight Goth.
And Jim McGreevey is a Gay American. No one cares.

Just one thing bothering me...
Do you really have to be gay to listen to the Dixie Chicks?

I don't have a "mom", sunshine. I'm Australian. We have "mums" here.
By the way, your comment makes no sense and neither do you. Go away and develop some English language skills before attempting to take on either Ivan or myself again.

Your mom. (end sarcasm)You first pollute the thread with a post which shows your lack of irony and reading comprehension skills. Now you pollute it with your lack of sense. Are you done, or is this going to continue on?

It's called parody. I assume you're Ivan Groznii (aka MadIvan) - I could be wrong. But if you are in fact both, what work of your own are you making fun of? If you're MadIvan and not Groznii, what work of Groznii's are you parodying? Parody works better if the underlying work is known. Please help me find the joke I missed.
