I always like to read another article stating I live in an antisemitic country hell-bent on destroying Israel and ready to launch another kristallnacht.
By the way, if I remember well, De Gaulle used Bible excerpts when he said Israel was a "self-confident and domineering" nation.
As for Chirac, I don't have much sympathy for him (and that's putting it mildly) but he was the one President of the French Republic to assume "responsibility" for the collaboration of Vichy authorities with the occupier, a fact that was at that time saluted by the Jewish community in France and by the state of Israel.
