Republicans are suggesting that Sen. Tom Harkin has been pulled from a campaign swing for Sen. John Kerry for calling Vice President Dick Cheney a ''coward.''Kerry's campaign in Wisconsin had been publicizing a ''Tour of Honor'' featuring Harkin and former Sen. Max Cleland. The Iowa senator was to speak in Eau Claire Thursday but withdrew for ''logistical reasons,'' said Lesley Sillaman of Kerry's Wisconsin campaign.
She denied that Harkin was ''pulled from the lineup.''
Harkin ripped Cheney after the vice president criticized Kerry about pursuing a ''more sensitive war on terror.''
''When I hear this coming from Dick Cheney, who was a coward, who would not serve during the Vietnam War, it makes my blood boil,'' he said.
Harkin's remarks came at a time when the Kerry campaign was calling for civil dialogue.

Heck... maybe he's in Japan, right about now... :)
The Democrats can have several people engage in attacks, then can them as they do their duty. That way, they can say they're being ethical while getting the slime jobs done the way they want.
It didn't help that the story of the lying leftist Harkin's service in Viet Nam turned out to be as phony as Kerry's medals. He flew planes for maintenance from Japan to Guam. Nothing wrong with that service, but certainly not the Viet Nam vet he claimed to be all these years. I still haven't forgiven him for being little Danny Ortega's buddy during the brief communist history of Nicaragua.
Harkin is in an undisclosed location...that's got to be the explanation.
Dole drilled Harkin...said he was hiding out in Japan! LOL!
The tensions are high with the dims these days. Tempers are flarin and kerry's a carin..........about his IMAGE.
And that is the reason Harkin has a bag over his head and is being taken to the Jersey "Meadowlands" for burial. ;)
If he was not pulled for that, he will be from Bob Dole's comments.
REQUIRED MAX CLELAND DISCLAIMER: THE PROCEEDING COMMENT IS NOT INTENDED IN ANY WAY TO DISPARAGE FORMER SENATOR MAX CLELAND'S PATRIOTISM OR TO IN ANY WAY DENIGRATE THE SACRIFICE HE MADE FOR HIS COUNTRY.
Even with your disclaimer, that's a pretty low comment. The guy left behind three of his limbs. I'm amazed hie even associates with Kerry.
I think the guy is a bit looney, but still it's a low blow.
Way beneath this forum. IMHO
your so funny!
Bingo .... zingo. Tom Harkin told tall tales for years about fighting MIGs in the skies over Vietnam.
'Crats seem to have rich fantasy lives.
Yeah we should show Max more respect. It isn't his fault he blew himself up going back to drink a few beers with his buddies.

Get real. Max Cleland is a greedy opportunist, just another pompous ass who parleyed his non-heroism in Vietnam into a political career. Same as John Kerry. I respect them both for serving but not for lying. F 'em both.

And...Unfortunately, one of our own, Mr McShame is proving himself to be like these two.
Cleland has disgraced himself, and aims to foist upon us a traitor, a liar, and a totalitarian Communist.
He deserves the full measure of disdain that comes his way, and then some. He must have left his honor behind with his limbs. He certainly deserves no respect from us.
